Again with the ridiculous Peyton Manning comparison. Do you have any original thought, ever? Why not compare Bryce to Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, Jimmy Clausen, or Josh Rosen? They too had horrible rookie years. Manning played 16 games in his rookie year in a league that was much more physical. He threw for 3739 yards and 26 TDs, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt. Bryce at 14 games has only 2671 yards and 11 TDs, averaging 5.6 yards per attempt. At his current pace of production, it would take Bryce 35 games to match Manning's TD total. A much better comparison would be Josh Rosen, who played 14 games in his rookie year and passed for 2278 yards, with 11 TDs and 14 INTs, averaging 5.8 yards per attempt. That's pretty much on par with Bryce on all the important parameters. So where is Josh Rosen now?

Even Josh Rosen showed more flashes of we’re being totally honest. Bryce doesn’t even attempt difficult throws. Everything is quick to the outside. On the rare occasions he uses middle field it’s turnover-worthy. We don’t stand a chance.

I'm always going to back him and it's by far in our best interest to work out.

I just hate that the one time my instincts about a player seem to be correct is the one where I couldnt understand why we would trade up for that guy of all players

I mean really outside of this offseason... moving on/replacing him is really only bad from an optics standpoint.. but if it's done after feeling the effects of the trade then it is what it is. Especially with a new HC. ALSO it depends on who they replace him with/how they replace him.  In a perfect world this season was an eye opener for decision makers, we change course and slowly buy surely the situation improves for everyone and BY is among the best young QBs and everyone is happy.  The world isn't perfect but I'll never root for the ship to sink, so for as long as hes in our uniform I want it to workout.  I am just prepared for if it doesn't.  The ship is the Carolina Panthers, not the Bryce Young's.

It's unfathomable how much of a disaster this whole thing has been from a front office standpoint. You would have a hard time writing this as fiction

It's really every worse case scenario has happened... I was a big vocal CJ fan pre-draft.. but then I started thinking that BY might be alright because usually the player I DON'T want turns out to be decent/great...

Stats don’t tell the stories and mislead

Trevor had worse talent around him.  Trevor had a worse coach. Lawrence also wasn’t playing check down small ball as a rookie like Bryce.

When the season ends, odds are Bryce only is going to of edged out Trevor in throwing less picks.   That’s largely because Bryce doesn’t throw downfield.  That’s not edging him out across the board.

Lawrence had more rush yardage

Lawrence had way more passing yardage

With one game to go, behind him in pass TDs and rush TDs.

identical pass % despite playing 2 different games (aggressive vs check down)

Lawerence took way less sacks partially due to his size and he gets the ball out in rhythm better than Bryce does.

just because they had disappointing rookie years doesn’t make them comparable.  Trevor was still lab built for the NFL.  Bryce isn’t.   Way more to be worried about here.

Ah, yes. Trevor Lawrence took 30 less sacks his rookie year because he's tall and throws the ball super fast. But Trevor also some how had worse talent around him? Despite being sacked 30 times less and also having some of the same WRs that Bryce currently has? But he had it worse. Ok lol. Do you guys even think when you come up with this nonsense or is it strictly emotionally charged?

I cannot imagine still having to carry young’s jock after a game like today.

Missed you last week Chuck (not really) did you have fun burying your head in the sand? I know you were praying for a game like today last week so you could sprout back up and start spewing your nonsense again. Glad to have you back chuckles.

I read somewhere that 20-22 games is the typical window where most modern coaches know what they have in a QB. That lines up with about Week 6 or so next season. If Bryce hasn’t shown any progression by then with a new offense, scheme, and some type of weapons then it’s pretty obvious what 2025’s 1st Rounder will be used for.

As others have said, his physical toolbox is the problem. I watched him throw a duck today that looked like it was tipped until the announcer went back and pointed out how terrible of a throw it was.

He doesn’t have the arm strength for the zip and or the height for the field vision.

He physically isn’t ever going to get it.  Nfl defenses can completely remove him from the came like today.

Of course they can if you have a shitty oline and no receivers that can get open. You don't think Bryce can make NFL throws? I'll admit he doesn't have the strongest arm but he can absolutely make all the throws. You don't have to have to have a rocket arm to be a good NFL QB.

Give him until the end of year 3. If he doesn't have it by then, you can move on.

You got to draft someone later as well I think. Pray for a steal

That’s uh kind of the point
