Reported that the Panthers have asked permission from Lady Cowboys Fan to interview @Mr. Scotfor GM position now that the Cowboys were humiliated....I mean eliminated.   😆

She advised me today after watching the Dan Campbell locker room video that she's officially Lady Lions Fan for the rest of this year's playoffs.

(Dan Campbell is so good he can even fix Cowboy fans) 🫥

Don't know. They were relatively late to the party. Haven't seen much news on that front.

Callahan, Kafka, Pierce, Macdonald, the Detroit Lions' Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson, the Dallas Cowboys' Dan Quinn, the Houston Texans' Bobby Slowik, and the Philadelphia Eagles' Brian Johnson. (As of 2 days ago) Add in Thomas Brown and that makes 4.  Impressive lol

I'd assume this is done as a favor.  Somebody knows somebody and it's part of CPR for career

Carthan is doing him a favor, maybe even pulling a dual interview to maybe gauge if they'd bring him on in some other capacity with their new coaching staff.

I'm gonna say... Rooney Rule

Maybe.  Could be a couple things.  A legit HC interview it ain’t.

Could be the good ole boy network trying to help a coach that good screwed via some PR gift but I don’t care to look into the history of who is in the Titans

My guess, aren’t we blocking all interviews right now? So if someone wanted to kick the tires on Brown for an equal or lesser role the Panthers aren’t allowing that to occur…so you would have to hold a bogus HC interview.  Still find out all you wanted to know about him in the process.

    • I'd love blue to be the new primary.
    • not sure if any of this is news, but a good summary of our situation heading into training camp.  It's sure gonna be good getting Derrick back. After missing virtually all of the 2024 season, Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown is aiming for a full return to the field during training camp later this summer, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. Brown tore his meniscus in Week 1 and underwent season-ending surgery that has kept him limited through spring practices, though he did participate in “walk-throughs and light side work” during mandatory minicamp, according to Person. Brown originally stated a desire to be ready for the 2025 regular season, but his timeline appears to have moved up. Brown’s injury was particularly disappointing after a career-best 2023 season. He led all defensive linemen with 103 total tackles and was named to his first Pro Bowl, earning him a four-year, $96MM extension from the Panthers in April 2024. While he has never been a prolific pass rusher, Brown’s size and power has consistently commanded double-teams and created opportunities for his teammates. His impact was evident last season, as Carolina’s run defense ranked dead-last in his absence. The Panthers spent significant resources this offseason on defensive line depth, which should allow them to manage Brown’s usage more carefully coming off a major injury. He played a whopping 940 defensive snaps in 2023 (89% of the team’s total) and was on the field for almost every play before his injury last year. With new teammates Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown III, and Cam Jackson ready to share the load, Derrick Brown can take a lower snap share to stay fresh and healthy for the entire season.
