this free agent class is getting smaller by the day.

Agreed. Hurney has to earn his salary this year. To state the obvious, we need to look for role players to "fit" the system as there does not seem to be a blockbuster guy that will put us over the top. Had my heart set on making a play for Olindo Mare though...

The LAST thing we need is big money free agents. They seldom have the impact on the field that fans expect....just look at Dallas, Washington, and Oakland as prime examples.

Fans want to see the flashy signings, but they are not the way to go....especially in this WEAK free agent class.

Exactly, MadHatter, and it is also going to be an Expensive one as many of the big FA signings will include guaranteed money for next year when there might not even be football.

just looking in our own division......the Saints adding Sharper last season and the Falcons the year before with Turner were probably both the moves that put them in the playoffs the year after they signed them.

Losing top tier talent over several years and hoping to replace it through the draft isn't a solution imo, we need a healthy mix.

We dont need to break the bank but a competent WR would do wonders for our Offense. Its clear that Drafting one is not gonna happen for this team
