We got some crack smokers on the huddle. The poll isn't who you want or should start.....it is who you think will start. Jake is Carolina's QB whether you like it or not. Fox doesn't bench guys he believes in and he believe in Jake. Jerry is a either dumb or is willing to flush another season away.......b/c Fox AND Jake on a roster is a reciepe for disaster. Carolina is just playing along b/c they know they would recieve hell if they simply said Jake is and has always been the QB. The competition this year will be just like the one last year.....it is simply Jake's job.

Well here goes...Not that I agree with this because I don't but i think that Delhomme will be the starter, eventhough Moore has outplayed him. However, I also think that Delhomme will not have the undying loyalty of Fox anymore. Fox will not hesitate as long to pull him this time. For 1. Fox is in a contract year and 2 we don't want back to back mediocre seasons. I expect that we will cut Feely first, pick up another QB FA or draft, evaluate then cut either the new pickup or McCown.

Jerry Richardson should keep his eyes on the QB competion this year and put a foot up John Fox and Hurneys rear,if they start the same old crap,"Jake gives us the best chance to win".

I am all for a QB competion but see no reason why Matt Moore can't out perform Jakeb Delhomme.

I vote Matt Moore as the Panthers starting QB.

    • Nfl leaders don't look at the population of just the city itself.  Charlotte has three of the top fifty combined statistical areas within a 1 to 1.5 hour drive.  Charlotte, Greensboro/WS/High Point, and Greenville Spartanburg.  Those three statistical areas include nearly 7 million people.  Other than Raleigh, the only one in the top fifty within an hour and half of raleigh is Greensboro.  So only about 4-5 million people.  Charlotte has many more people to draw from.   Also, many of the surrounding communities for Raleigh are not native born.  If memory serves, many still refer to Cary as Containment area for relocated Yankees.  One of the reasons the Canes do so well is a significant portion of the population are people who moved from Northern Areas.  Would that population translate into support for a NFL team?  Hard to say, but I see a tremendous amount of Giants/Jets jerseys in the triangle when I forced to endure the crazy traffic on 40/85.
    • This will also be prime Training Camp meltdown time on here lol. Preseason game 1 August 8th, i'm guessing camp starts around July 25-27th
