It's a whole new Era in Panther Land...

Getting rid of the elder players will hopefully allow the young guys to find out who they really are..not just on the field but in the locker room...

You know guys like Beason and Harris have already taken the mantle as the defensive voice of the team; the offense is going to have to figure out who theirs is. Will Matt Moore decide it's his time and direct the team with calm speeches; Will his Joe Cool demeanor resonate with the group? Will Steve Smith decide to take the role? He always has something to say...the team has to find it's motivation from somebody.. I think that's what has me wondering the most..

The thing that made made 2003 so special is that NO ONE expected it, we might see some excitement like that again in Carolina in 2010.

Why does everyone act like 2003 was a huge surprise? We went out and got the most coveted free agent, and we did well.

I don't see this as a rebuilding year. I've loved almost all of the calls from the FO so far, I think Matt Moore will give us play at least comparable to 2008 Jake Delhomme. We also have a much easier schedule than last year.

I foresee 10-6 and a wildcard. Whatever happens in the post season I'd be happy with that. If Moore succeeds he will also start to bring this team a lot more attention.

welcome back AK...now that delhomme is gone you should get along with everyone now.

era of WRS!!!!

One by one all the FA wide outs are getting snagged.

There is 3 names left- Bryant, Marshall and T.O.

I dont like any of those options, maybe offer a trade for Gonzo?

Colts have a ton of wr's now and with success of Garcon....,

I know thats a bit out of the box...but lets hear some ideas people.

Its obvious we need to draft some wr's but that most likely will have no immediate impact! We dont use the TE in our passing game...I want Moore to succeed but he only has one guy to throw to !!!

    • To all the analysts who said "Caps in 5", thank you for telling us their departure time.
    • We won't know the answer to this for a long time. Reality is, Caleb has been the consensus #1 in that draft for years. Bryce was a similar situation, but mostly the same. He was not the clear and obvious #1 that Caleb was, but most teams had Bryce at QB1. The Panthers were always going to be terrible Bryce's rookie year.  I don't think DJ Moore's presence would have changed anything about that offense, as our guards, center, and left tackle were getting demolished on nearly every snap. It's clear Caleb's dad was trying to do everything possible to ensure Caleb didn't end up in Chicago with Eberflus. It's hard to imagine that he wouldn't have done the same, but probably more publicly with our situation, considering Carolina is an easier target for the media than Chicago. We can all speculate, but it's impossible to tell who is going to have the better career on May 16, 2025. If either QB doesn't pan out, we have an easy answer. If both flame out, the bears clearly won the trade, but it wouldn't have really mattered anyway. We all know how we win the trade. Candidly, even if one of the other picks we gave up ends up being a hall of fame player, we don't know if the panthers would have taken that player anyway. All you can do is make the best decision you can in the moment with the information you have. I really like Bryce Young, and I'm glad he's a Carolina Panther.  The only way to win in the modern NFL is to have an absolute dude at QB. I personally am happy that our franchise recognizes this, as I remember times when they did not.
