He looks like a nice, happy guy. Yea, he really sucked, but I wouldn't do anything mean because of it. I'd rather be happy as a cop than depressed as an NFL 3rd string QB.

How depressed are third stringers really? Sittin' on the bench, maybe with a clipboard, getting a head start on being an graduate assistant for your alma mater. And getting paid league minimum while doing it too. Not exactly a bad deal.

This makes me wonder what Jeff Lewis and Rod Rutherford are currently up to haha
Las I checked, Rutherford was an assistant coach at St. Vincent College. That was two years ago though.

      DJ Johnson just ticked too many boxes on the warning list. Unpolished/raw at his position, older guy, etc.  Project players don't belong in the top 3 rounds, IMO. Not on teams completely bereft of talent. The Ravens, 49ers, etc of the world can get away with that. It's hard to justify that in the condition our roster usuallu is.

      Upper tier backups have good options available.  Also, hitching your bandwagon to a career backup isn't likely to pan out.  Mills is a possibility, but that would have to be a trade. He is under contract through 2026. Same with Lock, under contract through 2026.
