So we have done nothing in the off-season and we still have no wr's.

All the good FA have been snagged or have they?

We have a brand new QB so why not get him so real experienced hands.

I know we are going young , but these guys could really get us by until we develop some rookies.

Picture this line up:

Smith

Harrison= sign him for 1 year

Holt = sign him for 1 year deal

J. Walker- Who can look good on the raiders? Moss sucked there too!

Jarret - last chance buddy

All these guys I think could play another year and we could get them at a good price. I still want to draft AT LEAST two wr's in the draft as well.

I'd take Marv or Holt. I think they both have something left in them. BUT we already have 4 wide outs as it is. If we draft 2 and pick up another free agent, we'd have 7 and we'd have to figure out what to do with at least 2 of them.

lol... so we shouldn't do anything in fear of having to figure out who to keep? I know, crazy idea... Especially with all the talent on the roster at the moment.

I'm gonna catch hell for this, but here it goes: I think T.O. could help us quite a bit. He averaged something like 13 yards per catch last year.

I agree that it would be good to give Moore some experienced, sure-handed targets to build his confidence with and few have more experience than T.O. I would certainly take T.O. over Muhammed and Holt at this point. I think he's (finally) grown out of most of his attitude issues.

JR is not going to sign a REALLY over-the-hill player and former Pro Bolwer an exorbitant salary, even if it is for one year.

Bryant was the only FA WR that truely made sense and the team didn't look twice at him before he signed with Cinncy.

Bryant had just as much off the field issues as T.O. dose. Really every player on that list has slowed down so if we were gonna do that we might as well get moose back for another year. If we are gonna get a good WR its gonna be the draft.

Exactly. Why get rid of Moose who had 9 catches in the last game and replace him with another short term older player. If we start bringing in other over 30 players after releasing the ones we have, then the new philoophy makes no sense all.

Like Smitty said, we need speed.

Only thing is this year's crop of WRs don't have many burners. Ford being the the fastest; again he's a converted track guy, so he's raw. Do we have time to put him on the Drew Carter developmental path? I say no.

A good amount of WR talent, but again, no real burners.

I'm actually addressing all these people who want to draft receivers and get some in free agency. These same people are saying Wallace Wright, Dwayne Jarrett, and Kenny Moore are the next big things. Two of those three wont be on the team if we follow their rout with drafting receivers and getting receivers in free agency.

    • lol josh allen looked pretty bad there for a while
    • He’s the best QB in the NFL right now. I’ve been saying that going back to the end of 2023. He has done more with less. Give him what the Ravens have and I think he’s got multiple Super Bowls at this point. I know Ravens fans and other people thought Lamar deserved the MVP last year but Allen, and really their last two match-ups, showed why Allen won it.    I don’t know if the Bills have the team to win a Super Bowl but they are good, and that’s because of Allen.    Watching them makes me realize the Panthers will never compete so long as Young is the starter. He just doesn’t have “it”. Maybe it’s a bit unrealistic to compare but Allen’s arm strength is pretty demoralizing.  He threw for 251 yards, in the 4th quarter. Bryce has thrown for 251 yards once or twice?
    • So true. Even with Josh Allen's first rough couple of years, you saw the potential with him. He just wasn't consistent, but he would rip off HUGE games both passing and rushing that would make you go "yeah, this dude has the chance to become something". Bryce has NEVER shown that. Not one game where you go "wow, this kid will be a beast". It's been the same sh*t since his first regular season game to now. Xavier Legette the same thing.  TMac today definitely looked the part. Just too bad we paired him with one the worst QBs in the league
