What's wrong you guys can't handle criticism? A guy says his opinion on a player and you gang up on him? I'm a Panthers fan, but I feel like Steve Smith has been very good for us, but he's also a pain in the ass and selfish. Not finishing routes (see the Dallas game), blaming others, all about himself. Can't believe that some people on this board can't see that!

1- Gang up on him? please.

2- is he really? he busts his butt for this team game in and game out. and EVERYONE knows how much he loves it in Carolina. and NEVER takes plays off. unlike some former panthers.

3- Um excuse me, but Smitty OWNED UP to the Dallas game. i can see you don't follow as well as you think you do. Steve Smith doesn't blame anyone. and hes about the team. and Jake wouldn't be HALF the QB he was w/o Steve Smith. theres your facts.

I think if he has to earn the starter's position, he will and he'll do well. I think he just needs to compete for it to prove to himself he's still got it.

Mike Holmgren sees something in him, and he's got a history of doing well with quarterbacks. I guess I'll be watching some Browns games on the Sunday Ticket this year.

I'm sorry but Jake is done. He may still have a arm but his touch and vision is very poor now. Add on top of all that he dose not have Smith to bail him out and you have a disaster on your hands.

hahaha, I call the crybaby Smith out and get neg repped. Nice objectivity!

You are 100% spot on. I'm just thankful Steve Smith gets the opportunity to scorch the pitiful New Orleans secondary each year or else he'd probably enter depression mode.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
