Young to Washington!

That's got a nice ring to it, eh? 😜 I gave the joke away with the tag.

We've met with Malik Washington twice. Any UVA alums want to give us an opinion? ACC fans?😜

Guess his favorite receiver...

Well, I know people are going to complain, but I gotta say it: He got that dawg in him...

He looks like a promising prospect. There are concerns about blocking and press coverage, but I can't tell if it's due to his actual play or perceived limitations due to his size. He projects as a slot guy right now. He'd be a day three steal according to PFN. Of course the later you can get him, the more value he'll probably provide. He won't go early, due to size, but he's not exactly diminutive at 5'8" and 190 pounds. That's solid, but it may mean that the slot is his ceiling nonetheless. It will be interesting to see his forty time.

I hate the title.

Wouldnt like it at 33, but I would like him later.

He’s rated as 80th best player in draft.  He’s a late 2nd or early 3rd rounder.  He’s 5’8 strictly slot WR in NFL.  He’s quick, physical with good first step and decent route runner but not blazing speed.  He’ll be perfect for Bryce because he gets a lot of yards after contact.  The only issue is Bryce might not see him over the line.

Panthers need to revamp their offense to old school west coast offense with Young under center with deep drop backs and rollouts.  Can’t have him snap the ball in shotgun and stay like a statue there, waiting for him to be able to see over the line.

I'm skeptical about Young playing under center. Talking about not seeing Washington over the line, Young may not see a lot of people over the line. This may lead to missed reads and some INTs. But, I am not the most objective person in regards to Young.

I am not the most "subjective" was a Freudian slip

Just edit it. Apparently Young is no longer something we can joke about. I get it.

I meant as a mod I hate the title. Means people will be reporting it like they do half of @TheSpecialJuan threads.

Other than that I've got no issues. I think it would actually work out and I don't think the height issue is what people make it out to be

Yeah, but what about two 5'8" guys playing in the forest? It's an issue for me, I'm not gonna lie. But, again, I've lost my objectivity about Bryce. Every post of mine on the kid has to be taken with a grain of salt.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
