Same. Something that made Wilson so great in Seattle is that he could lob up a wounded  duck and his WRs would come back to the ball and fight for it and come down with it. If Bryce did that it's an automatic pick 6. He needs some dogs throwing elbows trying to help him out.

Ha. Same wavelength.

Ol' Rusty's rainbow prayers, that was once upon a time always answered, use to absolute kill me when we played them.

It killed me inside that for years people considered him a cut above Cam.

Now I want to know why yinz couldn't trade us your center before he was cut!!!

I wouldn't be against it if we had any other options currently.  Colbert wasn't that bad in a running oriented system until he got hurt and the system changed, and will change once more.  We just are afraid to rely on him as a long term solution.

I always love when a fan of the previous team shows up and has NOTHING positive to say.

I've been watching football for 45 years now.  He's a talented kid.  Had some injuries.   The team that drafted him is moving on.  His new team picked him up for peanuts. He doesn't have to be elite to improve the Panthers receiving core.  Sometimes a change of scenery and system is needed.

Thanks for your time steeliedude,  you can go back home now.

Hope you’re right, appreciate yinz analysis.

I have many good friends and family from the Pittsburgh area but have never heard “yinz” before…

…what in the actual fug.  🙃

I've heard it more than a few time in my lifetime. Some of it from NC natives that no dick about football much less the Steelers.  Guess what. It has nothing to do with IQ or which football team you follow.

Screw you for making me defend a Steelers fan by the way.

No offense intended, I’ve just never heard it before.  I’m sure “yinz” is similar to “y’all” it’s just not something I’ve encountered.  Dig it.

It's the same thing. Both are just southern slang of butchered English words.

Don't get so butthurt. Like I said week one you'll be asking why he drops back after the catch.

So I guess everyone at the Steelers forum has been complaining for 2 years and calming him Mr. I run backwards for nothing.

Catches is the key word, that’s a step in right direction.

Wa it really that bad?

Johnson will drop a couple. But who doesn't.... you'll be happy with him, as long as you don't get upset when he goes back 5 after the catch.

He can be a #1.

And his injury wasn't that bad. It just sucked. I don't see him being injury prone.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
