I've listened to it like 3-4 years now. The last year or two though it seems these guys (mostly John) put some players on a pedestal (Like Burns) when they are really overrated. The last year or two it just sounds like they are talking in an attempt not to hurt anyone's feelings or piss anyone off. The first year or two I felt like they told it like it was.

Only reason John put Burns on a pedestal was because of Burns’ annoying hypeman brother. 
One positive no one mentions from getting rid of Burns. His brother is gone.

I enjoyed the listen. Ellis swearing at the beginning was funny.

 

A critique: The beginning seemed a bit disjointed as it seemed like you had a million thoughts all at the same time. Also the way you started about Canales but then was like I dont want to talk about his personal life was a little weird. I mean his book is no secret, so not sure if you were referring to that or not?

Not sure if I was reading tea leaves or hearing what I wanted to hear, but when she said that she and Orlovsky were watching and both repeated--"there is no separation" and then she referred to the digression of the OL--that should give us hope for Young.  Then she mentioned that his WR did not come back for the ball during a route (Shenault)---broke his confidence--not in himself, but in his WRs.   Now, take into account that our TEs underperformed and both backs averaged well under 4.0 yards per carry.  Neither were that good at catching passes out of the backfield, and Chubba is not good in pass protection.  As I said last year---nobody could have been successful under those conditions.  

Do not expect Thielen to have the year in 2024 that he had in 2023.  However, she noted that Johnson gets open, but referred to him as the ideal #2.   She said that whoever we get, they will get better separation than what we had last season.

HOWEVER, if you read the criticisms about Legette and a few others in this draft, they are not that strong out of breaks despite sub 4.4 40 times.  We need a solid route runner, and if we have to play Johnson at the X, so be it, for a season.

none of that explains youngs shitty mechanics and bouncing like tigger the tiger in the pocket.   It is kindof wild that he had such a bad year last year that a 3rd season isnt even being discussed, its like fix your poo immediately or we will move on.  Even fields got year 3.  You have to be zach wilson, mac jones bad to be discarded after 2 years

OL overhaul--done, and we brought in a reserve swing OT should Ickey struggle again.  This was critical. Upgrade the RB position--need a blocker, pass catcher, and runner.  We have 2/3 and 2/3.  Need an X WR who can get open.  Trade?  could be.

I disagree.  Has everything to do with shitty mechanics and nervous feet. No blocking, WRs running bad routes and not getting separation--when would mechanics of the QB become the problem?  Having said that, we both need to just wait and see.  Remember Rosen, that QB who was drafted early by the Cardinals, I think?  He was let go after 1 season.  I think they want to see what he can do
