Threads like this at their core, at least for me, are really just irritations at the Panthers org for the bullshit they sling each year.  I don't need it.   I don't like it.  I like the world without the bot.

What Cam Newton did as a rookie in a lockout year is nothing short of remarkable.

I just don't see that drive in Bryce Young. He's never been through the adversity Cam endured at either level. I believe a part of why he was made the pick is because the Tepper's thought he was the most marketable.

This is where I'm at. If it begins to upset my mood I do not need to be involved with it. The whole state of the franchise has become quite amusing to me. I find enjoyment when there's something positive that happens, no matter how small.  I've learned to laugh at the negative elements that exist because that's how bad it's gotten. I've become accustomed to expect the worst and count anything positive as a blessing. It is what it is - old Foxy

I'm not ready to make any predictions with this year's team. There's just too many unknowns involved to know what to expect. Ask me again after preseason.

you are correct.  

the difference is Cam was an athletic superstar.   

Bottom line, Young has to produce   He has to not be the problem 

….he cant ask others to do what he  can’t do himself

i dont want to hear anything from him.  I want to see him effectively and efficiently drive the field when it matters and score a TD, or egads, win more than 2 games

this year is his ‘tale of the tape’   2.7 seconds one of  his tangible measurements 

as a fan, and I’m one of many, he gives me no  hope, no excitement and franchise qbs in that category don’t last long in the big boy league.

like last year, I could care less about the record.  I just want to see some entertaining offensive play.  You got to start solving that problem.

someone told me once the best way to eat fish is eat the meat, leave the bones. take the good stuff and be happy for it and leave the bad stuff behind. 

now if i was in a position to make change happen, then it would be important for me to pay more attention to the bones. as a fan, though, i don't bear that responsibility. i don't need it. i don't want it. i've got enough on me as it is. i need to have things in my life that give me an escape from all of that (not that i need to escape from my life, it's actually quite good) but i have to make a lot of decisions and be hyper critical in other areas of my life. 

i'm quite happy to leave that stuff to guys that get paid to do it while i sit back and try to enjoy as much as i can.

i'm hoping that Canales and an upgraded OL and receiving corps will be enough. win or lose, i just want to have fun watching.

      I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.

      holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!

      Well, if they know Tepper wants to keep Bryce there is an an implied safety net there in case he fails. A possibility that he will be empathetic and •maybe• not fire them.  If they go against that and bring in someone else and that fails they are in a much worse spot.  IMO.  And another factor may be that after all those years of instability and musical chairs pre Bryce there will likely be a feeling of security in knowing what they have.   Kind of like settling just to keep from going through the process all over again.     IOW I think he really needs to fug up bad to lose his job and change our course.
