Anyone getting emails about Cheech and Chong Space Gummies?  Are they legit?

I took a look at them for you and the verdict is... unclear.

They tout how their product is all natural and how competitors are using harsh solvents, etc. But there's no mention of how they're producing their THC. Can you use CO2 extraction to extract pure natural THC from hemp? Yeah, you can. But at under 3% THC by law, you need a poo ton of hemp to do it and you need very expensive equipment and well trained people to run it. The vast majority of hemp derived THC is used by converting CBD to THC which requires the use of solvents and strong acids. The process can be safely done but of you're doing it while touring your product as being all natural you're not being honest and if you have an all natural product and you're not being specific about your methods I suspect dishonesty.

I was in Infinty's End here in Charlotte the other day and smelled some good weed...  They had it in big clear containers behind the counter...  Smelled legit and the dude tried to tell me it was weed and there was a loophole..  I'm sure there was a catch..  Pretty pricey too...  Claimed the gummies were legit too...

It was CBD flower sprayed with D8 or hemp derived D9. But yeah, CBD hemp flower looks and smells just like the real thing.

Does it work?  I have no trouble finding what I need but gummies would be nice...

It dosent taste the same though and costs more than what I can pay my plug for real poo if I buy in bulk. I can get it at a little over 5 a gram and the gas station sells 2 grams for 15.

Im sure the 8 smokers can get high off that poo in gas station though.

I've never messed with that gas station poo. All D8 is highly processed. The gas stations I'm sure are carrying the cheapest poo they can buy and I'm sure those processors are producing their poo as cheaply as they possibly can. What I'm saying is it's probably dirty with residual solvents, etc. I wouldn't touch that stuff.

It's mind boggling how weed isn't legal and alcohol is. Alcohol has destroyed so many lives.

Actually its not that mind boggling. $$$ and lobbying

Yep. I'm honestly surprised big tobacco hasn't put a ton of money into lobbying for legalization at the federal level. Their business model is dying and they need a new one.

We have so many laws and regulations that are just absurd and many of them are against public will. It is a very strong majority of the population that supports legalization but "our" politicians just keep on keeping on.

So have any of you tried these THCA products?

Apparently as sold it simply has the legal amount of thc making it able to be sold but when heated such as by lighting it to smoke it thc is released and it is just like the currently illegal product.

I personally have not tried it but know folks who quit buying the currently illegal stuff as this is just as good and legal.

Again, I have only been told these things.

    • I feel like this trade just lives rent free in people's heads and keeps morphing into different things. First thing is that the rumored trade was for future firsts. They wouldn't have any extra picks in 2023; the firsts would have been for 2024 and 2025. With very few exceptions, NFL GMs don't value picks that far away. You have to have a lot of job security to pull that off. Like Chiefs, Eagles, Rams kinda stability. That's obviously not the case with David Tepper, especially since he'd just fired his head coach. No GM except for like Howie Roseman is going to trade an asset you have now for a future asset you probably get to use.  Second, at the time you'd have to assume these are first rounders late in the first round. Obviously currency is currency and the panthers need young players, but these weren't slam dunk top ten picks. At the end of the day there's one pick that separates a first and second round pick.  Lastly, the only place that ever reported this trade was the Rams. All the reporters just repeated what McVay said and it became gospel. We have no idea how serious the negotiations were, if they ever really happened, if the offer was real, etc. And I personally believe McVay and Sneed are the kind of guys who would make up rumors like that to fug up other teams, mostly because I assume if I've thought of it someone smarter than me has.  I don't know how you'd call it the greatest draft haul of all time. Firsts quickly lose their value the farther out they are and Burns had 16.5 sacks last season. And anyway those picks would probably just been tossed into the burning inferno of the Bryce trade up so it's a moot point anyway.
