WR Sleeper (Where has this guy been hiding?)

rather have stephen williams from toledo. he is 6'5" and runs a 4.51 with a 1.49 10 yard split. he was a huge combine guy and also produced 70+ catches a year for 3 straight years at a D1 school. he is UDFA right now too if you believe all the draft pundits. i would much rather have him. proday report was he ran crisp routes (well much better than expected).

one could say "not fast" but the guy is not "slow"

If he was 4.5 or 4.6 he may be a first round consideration.

It is clear that we are looking for "value" with acquisitions lately and considering that I like the video, especially the blocking.

Colston ran a 4.55 and gave up an inch and a half and 16 lb.s to this kid and Colston was the 252nd pick.

We need a guy to block, and drag across the field who has some size and not another burner IMO.

I like it. How many more just like him are there?

Have your cake and eat it too. If they both go undrafted we could get them both.

But he won't be able to beat up on slow white corner backs in the NFL

There are white cornerbacks in the NFL?

He'd fill in for moose perfectly. But he does have one flaw...When I was watching his highlights he runs with the ball too far away from his body, it'll be easy for a pro to strip it from him. If we did pick him up via draft or UDFA then Harris could teach him to protect the ball quick

Yep, his "ball security" leaves something to be desired -- but that can be easily coached.

Larry fitzgerald ran a 4.63, but knows how to use his size. not saying this guy should or would be compared to fitz (thats crazy talk), but it goes to show that good routes and an instinct for going up for the ball at the highest point is just as valuable as straight line speed.

prob worth a look in our scheme though

AJ Jackson 6'5" 240 Lbs. Runs the 40 in the 4.7 range, 35" vert, and a 10"00 broad jump. Check this kid out. Big, strong, physical, and has a great set of hands. And watch his devastating blocks at the 1:11 mark. And this guy is supposed to go Undrafted. As soon as I saw those blocks my jaw hit the floor.

Another guy for some reason no one is talking about is Scott Long outta Lousiville. Man as far as combine numbers are concerned hes perfect. Standing at 6'2" and weighting 216 lbs he ran a 4.46 40, 41.5" vert, 10'3" broad jump and get this he nows owns the all time record for 3 cone drill at 6.45 (wow).

He is a good route runner and he does have good hands. Unfortuanetly for him he is about as unlucky as it gets. He didn't get to start until his junior year where he missed the 1st game due to a foot injury came back had a stellar game (134 yards 2 tds) then tears his ACL.

This season he was surronded by poor talent and poor QB play that limited his production to just 727 yards and 2 tds. For as well as he did at the combine he gets next to no love but I defineitly think he is worth a UDFA signing.

Seems we have a similiar but faster WR named Dwayne Jarrett that can do the same things Al Jackson does.

I want the Panthers to draft a burner to help out Smitty and eventually be his replacement.

I was suggest signing him as UDFA. The Panthers have expressed interest in him so I'm not the only one who sees something.
