Don''t want Arch Manning unless he really shows a lot.

I saw a Mock Draft the other day that had us taking Cam Ward.  Not sure if it would be Ward, but unless something dramatic happens with Young, there is little doubt imo that we will take a qb.  With the money we spent on the oline and the moves we made with the WR's, the team is going to want a qb that can actually take advantage of them.

We need to add talent. I have yet to see generational QB from this draft class.

Ward as good as he has looked it's still only a small sample. If he dominates the ACC then we can revisit this later in the second. For right now I'm on the trade back bandwagon and draft Hunter or Tmac.

Small sample size?

The Beck fanboys mighty quiet. Dude is a JAG.

He's the Brock Purdy of college football. Surrounded by elite talent not asked to do much other than get the ball to his playmakers.

My worst nightmare is taking Beck #1 overall.

Beck reminds me of a vintage Saban QB.  Not a NFL guy.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
