You moving the goalpost.  I didn’t call them royalty.  But certainly a national program like the SEC schools. Clemson is top 20 all time in wins.  And if you erase Dabo and Kirby’s nattys….Clemson has a more recent natty than UGA.

Clemson plays in the weak ACC. Sure they were a big deal when they were winning the Natty. The thing is those other programs don't have to win a Natty to stay relevant.

 

I don't consider Clemson to be that iconic football powerhouse with rich tradition. When I think ACC I usually go to the Miami and Florida St. 

 

We just disagree on which schools have rich tradition. Maybe the older people view Clemson differently I can only speak for me.

 

I have seen numerous docs on the Miami and Florida St schools. Their tradition is far beyond a region. It's national.

Such a shame Texas/Georgia isn't in the 8pm slot. I feel like that should be the last game of the night. Instead they have the ACC game in that slot.

At the same time as the B1G game as well. I’d imagine ratings for Clemson/SMU will be far below Oregon/Penn St. 

 

ACC game should be entering the 4th quarter right now (225 pm EST).

Texas is a good football team but Georgia just isn’t a good matchup for them in my opinion.

I’d take Texas over about every team in college football except Georgia but what’s funny is I’d take multiple other teams over Georgia.

Clemson has 21 ACC titles.  Which is the most in the ACC.   FSU 2nd.  FSU were the kings of the ACC under Bowden.   

Miami has 0 ACC titles.  Gamecocks got more ACC titles. 

No one thinks Miami when they think ACC.  Miami was the team of the Big East 

And no one gives a poo about Miami anymore.   They have had 2 seasons in recent history that were fools gold.  You know cares about Miami? Old people.  That remember a time long ago.

Oh lord, Ewers just missed a wide ass open TD pass. It would've comeback but you have to make that throw. That's as easy of a layup as you get as a QB.
