For those of you that remember the one and only Mike Shula.

He is expected to be named OC for South Carolina.

Would be fitting to run the same type of stuff given Sellers and Cams similarities I suppose.

I think it’s a great move in reality pending you keep Sellers two more seasons.    SC actually sets up well for Shula under its current construction.

Im not confident after the Georgia game, but I have to stick with my pick lol

Texas is new to the game and getting full SEC overhype treatment simply for existing in the SEC.

Fun fact - Clemson has 2 wins over teams currently in the top 25.

Texas has literally zero.  Zero.  And people poo talk SMU or whoever in the same sentence.  #3 in the nation? I’d be interested in fact checking the last time that happened.

No way Texas runs through 4 straight ranked teams with Ewers.   This years SEC teams are being massively overhyped.    If Vandy is taking it to folks this year….that says all you need to know in reality about the SEC.

reality is Clemson having a horrific 2nd half week 1 set the stage for the SEC overhype to set sail full throttle and never look back.   All that money in the SEC and IMO the top is the weakest it’s been in a LONG time.   Bottom stronger.

If Hubert misses the tourney this year that'll be missing the tourney in two out of four years. That won't cut it in Chapel Hill. Not on the hardwood.

Wes Miller has built winning programs everywhere he's been as a head coach. I loved Hubert as a player and I don't think I've ever heard anyone utter a bad word about the man as a person. It's not personal in the least for me. I just had major concerns about hiring someone to coach at UNC who had no prior head coaching experience. Just because you're a long time assistant for a great coach at UNC doesn't mean you're equipped to be the man. Bill Guthridge says "Hi!"

If it wasn't for a fluke red hot run to the title game in his first season Hubert's seat would be hotter than the surface of the sun right now.

Wes was an assistant, became the head coach at UNCG, and won that conference a few times in like ten years. He was relegated to the NIT his first year at Cincinnati barely finishing above 500. He hasn't played a ranked team this year and still has one loss. Once they start playing decent teams like last year, they are going to start losing again. "He has built winning programs everywhere he's been as a head coach". That has only been two schools. 🤣 Forgive my old feeble brain, but didn't Bill Guthridge take the Tar Heels to the Final Four twice? Hi. Yeah, I see this is going to go nowhere as Final Fours, championship game, conference title runs are considered flukes and lacks legitimacy on a coaching resume. What a guy really need is to win a few years at a bottom feeder school in a lower tiered conference to really get your engine revved up. I see you, I get it. Well not really or at all.

So you think Hubert is doing a good job? Cool. I don't.

I'm just throwing Wes Miller's name out there because he's in the family and has proven he can build winning programs.

I hope Hubert proves me wrong. Love the dude. But he's gonna have to start coaching these kids instead of just being a cheerleader on the sidelines and hoping they get hot and start hitting shots.

Lil bro you barely beat SMU. You are gonna get humbled once the playoffs start.

It's a shame both Clemson and SMU made it over Alabama.

Texas has only beaten 2 teams with 7 or more wins, they are incredibly over hyped.

Who has Clemson beat?

Texas plays in the SEC. That's respect in itself.

Not to me, Vandy plays in the SEC as well.  Just because you play in a conference doesn’t automatically make you great.  Honestly, SEC teams are arbitrarily over ranked ever year making their SOS look better.  For instance a .500 Vandy team got ranked in the top 25 one time this year, at number 25, guess who they were playing the next week?

Vandy beat Alabama. The point is any team in the SEC can with any team on any Saturday. That conference is deep and loaded.

Vandy would probably win the ACC if we being honest.

I have no clue how we can start 3 guards and be this bad at shooting the 3 ball. Jackson HAS to be a starter to give us a little more size if these guards can’t shoot from deep and his offense is just as good. Living in Birmingham it hurts my soul that we lost to both Auburn and Alabama.  Thank God most here don’t care about NFL football or being a Carolina sport fan would be even harder.

Man if I were younger I would want some of what you are smoking.  Alabama isn’t what you think they are this year man.  They lost to 2 unranked teams and should have lost to SC.  They beat Georgia, yes but that’s the same Georgia that went to 8 OT with GT and if the refs were actually watching that game Georgia would have lost to the 5th ranked ACC team

Ok bro you got it.

ACC>SEC

Just don't say that to anyone who knows football. That's ridiculously funny.

    • Here’s a summary of the JJ and Luke podcast transcript. Opening / Bryce Young Fifth-Year Option     •    JJ: Breaking news — Panthers picked up Bryce Young’s fifth-year option at $25.9M, guaranteed, coming in 2027. Combined with his 2025 salary of ~$6M, that’s $31M over two years — called it a “no-brainer.”     •    Luke: Enthusiastic about the move. Highlighted Bryce’s improving TD/INT ratios (11/10 → 15/9 → 23/11) and the value of entering year three with Dave Canales. Noted $25M is a bargain relative to the $60M top of market. Luke’s Personal Update — Charlotte Christian Football     •    Luke: Working with Charlotte Christian school football program, which hired a new head coach. Coaches include Greg Olsen, Luke, and Greg’s dad Chris Olsen (a New Jersey State coaching Hall of Famer).     •    JJ: Jokingly quipped that Charlotte Christian’s coaching staff is “the world’s greatest” — a Fox analyst, a Hall of Famer, and the best Panthers RB ever — all coaching middle school football.     •    Luke: Praised Chris Olsen’s deep football knowledge spanning decades and his ability to connect with kids. Round 1, Pick 19 — Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia     •    JJ: Panthers were on the clock and submitted their pick almost immediately — a sign of confidence and preparation. Freeling is 6’7”, 320 lbs, played in the SEC in a pro-style system.     •    Luke: Loved the pick. Emphasized you can never have too many quality offensive linemen. Noted Freeling’s size, athleticism, and arm length as key traits. Said the pick also reflects team’s philosophy of drafting great people, not just great players.     •    JJ: Noted reporter Darren Gantt compared Freeling favorably to Jordan Gross — bigger, heavier, and faster — as a potential franchise left tackle.     •    Luke: Pointed out that young players like Freeling still have physical development ahead of them, comparing the trajectory to Christian McCaffrey’s growth from age 20 onward. Round 2, Pick 49 — Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech     •    JJ: Panthers traded up from 51 to 49 (pick swap with Minnesota) to grab Hunter. Played audio from Panthers area scout Kaden McLuhan, who scouted Hunter.     •    Scout Kaden McLuhan (audio): Said Hunter’s size is immediately striking, and that everyone around him spoke glowingly about his character, energy, and love for the game.     •    Luke: Praised Hunter as a massive (6’3”, 320 lbs, ~34” arms) two-gap nose tackle who fits perfectly in the Evero defense. Compared his prospect profile to Akiem Hicks. Said having Derek Brown, Bobby Brown, Derrick Brown, Terson Wharton, and now Hunter creates varied body types that stress offensive linemen.     •    JJ: Noted Hunter ranked third among all prospects in run-stuff rate and sixth in interior pass-rush win rate — addressing a perception that he couldn’t rush the passer. Rounds 3–7 Highlights     •    Luke: Highlighted WR Brazle (3rd round, 6’4”, 437 speed, 1,000+ yards at Tennessee) as the vertical threat the offense needed. Also praised OL Sam Heck (5th round) as a technically sound player whose “short arms” caused him to fall but who has proven himself.     •    Luke: Mentioned CB Will Lee (6’1”, 33” arms) fits the Panthers’ DB prototype — big, long corners.     •    Luke: Praised S/LB hybrid Zaki Wheatley (5th round, 6’3”) as a big nickel similar to Trayvon Merek.     •    Luke: Excited about the linebacker competition between Devin Lloyd, Trevvin Wallace, and Claudin Cherless.     •    JJ: Noted Panthers had the #1 “steal/overreach” rating in the entire draft — drafting players lower than consensus big boards projected. Around the League     •    Luke: Admitted being “a little jealous” that the Miami Dolphins drafted LB Jacob Rodriguez (Luke’s favorite LB in the draft). Has personal connections to Miami’s coaching staff (Jeff Hafley, DC Shawn Dugen — a childhood teammate).     •    Luke: Also noted Miami’s selection of OT/G Kaden Proctor out of Alabama, who will likely move to guard. League Trends — Bigger Tight Ends / 12 & 13 Personnel     •    JJ: Observed the NFL saw its highest run rate in ~11 years (~52%) and a notable pivot toward big blocking tight ends in this draft.     •    Luke: Explained the cyclical nature of NFL offense/defense evolution — as defenses get smaller to match spread offenses, teams counter with bigger personnel (12/13 formations), which then forces defenses to get bigger at the nickel/“big nickel” spot. Called it an ongoing arms race.
