well, they were probably pros then too at LSU. 

Anyhow, the College All Stars won some.

They could have hung for a quarter if they go fairly lucky.

No college team is beating any college team. 

Remember how dominant Derrick Brown was in college? Remember how pedestrian he was his first 2-3 years in the NFL? Now imagine him playing against an 18- 22 year old kid now. It would be illegal. They'd call the game before he killed someone's child.

The biggest difference is the lines. The worst NFL DL would completely own the best college OL. Same for OL vs DL. The NFL team would simply run the ball at will, then gain like 300 yards and control the clock. 

It's like when you navy or Campbell or Harvard vs one of the big programs. Be like 72-3 for the terrible NFL team.

Come on Basbear, don't lump us with the Ivy League.

Yes they normally beat us. Sometimes pretty bad but never like that. Heck Navy has beaten Notre Dame like 4 times in the last 20 years. Last time being 2016. They only beat us by 3 in 2022.

The bigger point is fully developed grown professionals going against kids in college. Too big and strong. Literally men against children.

My honestly reason for naming navy or any military unit, is reinforcing the grave difference at the lines. You dont see any 300 LBer best I recall(PT), while even big HS have a couple ones. Best i recall, the triple option was used to combat this difference and it shocked those big schools a couple times in history. Paul Johnson running that was fine art in motion.

Paul Johnson was the OC when I was there. Charlie Weatherbie was the HC and Ken Niumatalolo was my running backs coach. They all came my sophomore year. That'll age me!

I fuging love watching it blowing up a more talented defense. It had answers and counters and "simple", then BOOM 75 yard break away.

I ran wing t in high school. Same thing. Actually Navy runs the wing t now.

      Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!

      Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.

      OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
