Does Andy have a fault in his game?

How is he keeping us from rebuilding? Btw we started rebuilding the second we hired Canales and Morgan, offensive last offseason; going to be defensive this offseason

Also, it's not like we lost to an 0-3 Vanderbilt team. We lost to a Joe Burrow lead Bengals team that almost won the SB not that long ago.

He could have been that dude if his shoulder wasn’t toast.  No QB is overcoming that injury unfortunately.

Been almost 10 yearsw and we're still talking about Cam and his damn shoulder, Really gives you a perspective of how bad it's been. I'm just going to enjoy what I've seen for the last two weeks as long as it lasts. Maybe it will be long enough to for us to forget about what T.J. Watt did.

You guys are loosing your mind. All old azz Dalton is doing is winning us 7 games or so and keep us from rebuilding. Tepper has broken our fans so bad they fill his stadium and are happy as pigs in mud for a team that looks ok loosing to a 0-3 team.

You should focus on your homework and go to bed in time.......

I think with Canales, his short comings are going to be minimized as much as possible.  He doesn't have overwhelming physicality like a Cam.  He's not an elite athlete like a Lamar or Allen.  He's got a good enough arm with enough zip on the intermediate passes.  He's not the playmaker that Mahomes is.

What's helping Andy right now is that Canales' offense has created so many answers for him.  Bryce didn't have answers, yet Andy does.  Andy has the experience to run a NFL offense.   He's hungry AF because he didn't think he'd have a chance to be a start again, which is helping him play lose.

So at the end of the day, Andy is a good, steady QB.  He's still going to need the support of a strong running game and help on the defensive side.  In some arbitrary rankings, I can see him in the top half of starters in the league.

    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
    • But nobody is saying he is a good deep ball passer.  But the facts are since he's returned from his benching, he has been throwing downfield.  Whether you want to credit the scheme, Bryce himself, or whatever, he has been pushing it deep.  Not to any positive results mind you, but it has been happening.
