Once upon a time, I said the same thing about Luke Kuechly

Well at least luke had his ACL.

It comes down to lots of factors and i dont believe in forcing picks. Theres a huge hole at the OLB, more than one. Its clowny and street guys. That had hubbard, sanders, and blackshear.

It honestly felt the 2024 draft was for 2025. early showcase for the shaq replacement is coming soon....

I need to see Brooks healthy and on the field for a few games and I'll begin the analysis of the pick.

Until then all I can do is wait.

Arguments for having gone another direction with that pick can be made. But I would argue as of right now looking at the overall state of our defense as a whole another rookie on the d line would have a negligible impact at this point in time. We'd still be getting lit up.

I honestly thought he was the best RB in the draft. Just carolina was not player for him, given the needs and value. The RB is lower than the safety market, derrick henry was signed for 2 years at 16 million. Many others cases, but panthers used a prime spot on guy that may not play half the year with 3 other guys already here. just bad management.

It only makes sense if he goes prime jamaal charles.

Which D-lineman would you have picked at that spot that's making a big difference on his team right now?

kris jenkins tackled hubbard with cobrett and he only had one hand on the 4th down GL stop....

Marshawn Kneeland was the pick for me and thats with keeping the two 5th rounders and staying at 52.

kool-aid if you remain at 39th.

Kneeland has 8 tackles 0 sacks. Kool-aid isn't even starting, Jenkins has 2 tackles 0 sacks. Our guy hasn't even played and is making the same impact of the guys you named lol. Getting the best RB in the draft but having to wait 5-6 weeks for him to play isn't bad at all.

    • You literally did it right there and didn't even remember it. Sorry long Friday.
    • TMac to finish up Feels good after pads came on. Physicality is a little different, playstyle is a little different. Refs let the players play, so he has to earn his stripes to get calls and just has to be better playing through contact. Focusing on staying confident and listening to coaches. Not much has changed for him, still trying to be his authentic self. Was asked about boxing practice he was seen doing. He's done that since he was a kid because his dad was a boxer and taught his siblings. Was the youngest and got beat up the most, but now he's the fourth of sixth children. Boxing helps with his cardio and being reactive with his hands to the ball + DB. Admits to struggling the first couple of days, hats off to the DB corps for making him better every single day but had his best day on Wednesday. Even the best get got. Just have to remain confident in preparation and abilities. Confidence will take you only so far, and that's where his resilience plays a factor. XL is authentic and great to have in the room. Can rely on him to be the same guy every day. They make each other better. Everybody feeds off of each other and when one person wins they all win. Happy to be a part of the receiver room. Was asked about how he was laughing harder than everybody else at XL getting his feet in the water off the back of the boat: "Man he needs to be stopped bro... He can't be serious but he was serious. It's all good." Playing against the increased amount of press he's facing in practice is helping him get more physical. His job is to catch the ball, so if it touches his hand he has to come down with it. Only catches with one hand if he needs to, but that gives the QB a bigger catch radius. Had a pregame routine where he did a 360 one-handed catch, but doesn't do it anymore. Working on being a pro: Getting into the facility early and getting treatment, eating better, etc. Just wants to win re: rookie goals. Anything he can do to help the team win. "I'm looking for to the season man and keep pounding."
    • DJ Wonnum up next Felt the defense came out ready to work at all levels and took over practice. New standard around here. Young guys have to know they're coming in to work. Last year was not the standard. Nic and Princely are fun. Different personalities but loves what they bring to the room. Sky is the limit for them. Nic sits next to Wonnum, Princeley sits next to Jones II. Allows them to be better mentors. Feels great and ready to go Incoom's athleticism allows him to bend and get low even to compensate for not being the biggest guy. Can set the edge. EDGE guys are helped when the ILBs can get home because it allows them to be a little more free while still in scheme. DB being back means his dominance is back. Can set the edge from the 3 or wherever he's at to make the runs bounce to the EDGE guys. Winning mentality and standard this year. Championship level from practice to how you live off of the field. Accept greatness and excellence with guys wanting to come to work every day. Not settling for anything less. Been in guys' shoes that are fighting for roster spots so he knows how to address them. Remembers not knowing what's next, especially as a rookie. Have a clear mind and ask the older guys a lot of questions. Has a good relationship already with Pat Jones II due to knowing each other and talking football all of the time. Can make hand gestures and know immediately what to adjust. Taking care of his body and excited to start the season. Getting it acclimated to football again by being able to tackle and bring players to the ground. Didn't know they were playing live tomorrow. Don't tell me it'll be "thud." Browns next week will allow them to hit somebody else and get a feel of what a different team is doing. Also allows the team to see where they're at on offense and defense. Ready to play football. Not worried about the QB matchup for Cleveland, going to play hard regardless of who is back there.
