are you serious??? the panthers are one of the best home teams in the league, and this is our home sked----bucs, bungals, bears, niners, saints, Ravens, falcons, and cards. Out of those we might lose to the Ravens. We will mostly likely split with saints and falcons and sweep bucs. We might sweep the falcons as well bc they rnt going to be good this year. We always beat the cards and they are on the decline. also on the decline is the bengals who got incredibley lucky last year by winning all their division games. They werent even good outside the div they beat green bay when rogers couldnt get a pass off, chicago, the browns, lions, and the chiefs. they lost to the RAIDERS. a team of grandmas could do just as good if not better. THEY SUCK Then on the road our only tough game is at Pitt who likes the fire power w.o holmes and might not have ben. This willl be a close game and will mostly likely come down to the final minutes...So

@ Giants - W

H Bucs - W

H Bengals - W

@ Saints - L

H Bears - W

H 49ers - W

@ Rams- W

H Saints - W

@ Bucs - W

H Ravens - L

@ Browns - W

@ Seahawks - W

H Falcons - W

H Cardinals - W

@ Steelers - L

@ Falcons - L

so there you have it, 12-4...maybe worse w. the giants game and saints..but still, a sked cnt get much easier than this

That is more like it (10-6). If we get win out of the 49ers that is 11-5, easily doable especially when there are a lot of home games in the front half of the season to build momentum. Plus compared to last year this is a lot easier.

I think everyone is just expecting the rookies to come in and fill the holes adequetley. Obviously the panthers are not going after single player difference makers. So as a team with help mainly coming from the draft I don't see how after the draft guessing would be much different. The panthers are going to be working with a lot of inexperience and untested guys really they will just need a little more luck on their side this season and just hope guys step up.

which is why i'm sticking with 8-8... give or take 2 games.

Yeah, there's really a lot to go on now for making predictions

So what if the rosters aren't finished, the draft hasn't even happened and preseason is months away?

injuries, unpredictable turnovers, and blown coverages will have more of an impact on wins and losses than the draft or final cuts. we know in general who will be on the team.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
