Draft Buzz: Tebow to Panthers?

(By Charles Chandler, [email protected]) Jacksonville is barely hanging on as a viable NFL franchise. Ticket sales have been way down and something's got to change or that team is moving.p/As the Jaguars sit at No. 10 in the first round, there's likely a tension between picking a top player who ideally fits a need or drafting a more marketable commodity who's just as good of a player but duplicates an area of strength.

If we still had our first, I could handle The Golden Calf of Bristol in the 2nd. With needs at WR and DT...along with the solid players that should be avail at those positions in the 2nd....I just don't see us taking The Golden Calf of Bristol happening.

wonder how many newspapers are runnign this story in connection to their team today, to get hits/readers? Which is why The Golden Calf of Bristol may get drafted higher than some think: News buzz, Jersey sales, national media attention...Jax is probably hoping he drops to 2nd round pick.

The Golden Calf of Bristol's father, Bob The Golden Calf of Bristol, claims his son is going in the first 15 picks. And The Golden Calf of Bristol's agent, Jimmy Sexton, told ESPN.com that he has a very good idea where The Golden Calf of Bristol will be drafted, and hints that it's higher than most people think.

    • I said the conservative play calling was because Canales doesn't think we can win shootouts. Yes, I did say part of that was because of the young, inexperienced receivers and that the OL is better suited for run blocking. I should have also included Young as part of the reason as well but I was responding to the post concerning "young receivers" and Thielens' absence. I am not so enamored with Young that I think all his problems are simply because of the receivers. I do think they overpaid for him and he has not lived up to the cost. He has had his struggles, as does pretty much every rookie qb thrown into a bad situation. But I have seen enough good things to have hope that he continues to get better. The OP is just pointing out how his performance late in the games when the game is on the line is one of those good things.
    • I think it goes both ways  It could be they are used to pocket passers, not someone who constantly has to create throwing zones for himself with pocket movement  point being, whether it is Young or the receivers or the sun or the moon or the wind, can’t win in the nfl without the threat of a downfield attack
