T.O. in Cleveland?...

Browns coach Eric Mangini indicated earlier in the week that the team would consider adding a veteran receiver if the fit is right.

Terrell Owens is easily the best receiver available, and the Browns are perhaps in worse shape at the position than any team in the league. Josh Cribbs, one of the team's captains, is pushing for T.O. to land in Cleveland. Brian Robiskie and Chansi Stuckey showed nothing last season that should have the team concerned about blocking their path to a starting job.

lol Can you imagine him with Delhomme? It would get very ugly very quick.

In fairness, Jake has the right personality to handle a guy like Owens, and he would throw to him a lot.

That said, it's not a choice I'd make.

Even if you were Cleveland? Cleveland? I believe that Mohamed Massaquoi will turn out to be pretty effective in the long run, but in the short term the Browns' passing game may easily turn out to be the worst in the league without a veteran on the wings.

T.O. to the Browns is disaster. It's not only a sign of how low T.O. has fallen, but a total powder keg. T.O. isn't in the situation to make trouble, if he does he knows he risks being cut and might not find a new home, but we all saw how bad Delhomme could be in the last two seasons with a much better offense. It would end both of their careers.

Then again, with no receiving targets in Cleveland and Delhomme's tendency to lock on, maybe it's a match made in heaven.

I seem to be in the minority again (imagine that) but I don't think that TO would be a bad move at all. Frankly he was on his best behavior in Buffalo and really hasn't been that big of a distraction since he left the circus in Dallas. With Jake as the quarterback and Holmgren in charge, it could actually work out very well. In order to fill some seats and get them back on track in a tough division, I would definitely try and get him if I could work out the money. He definitely is still productive.

You know, it makes all the sense in the world for them to bring in Moose.

Obviously he and Delhomme have great chemistry, but Moose is the kind of guy that can play well as a third receiver and really teach the young guys some things. Like Delhomme, he would be worth bringing in just to have another leader in a lockerroom in desperate need of one.

It's the Browns. I don't think TO could make it any worse. Matter of fact he would be an improvement on the receiving core. Jake would definitely feed him the ball whether he is double teamed or not. If Jake has a little bit left in the tank it could actually work out for them.

I think you misread but yes, they would benefit from bringing in Moose

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
