Trey Hendrickson DE wants a trade

They’re seeking a late 2nd or early 3rd. So I’d say our early 4th round pick would do it. It’d be a great addition and it changes our draft strategy just a little we’d prob go DE in the second to groom behind Hendricks for 1/2 years. Him with DT Milton would be the free agents to change our D like the two guards changed our O line completely last offseason.

It is suggested that since he will want a new contract that he could be obtained for a third rounder. That is a deal. And as long as we control the guaranteed money we can fit him under the cap because most any multi-year deal is cap friendly the first year or two. And he has proven he isn't tailing off. Frankly we get him and a good Interior d lineman in free agency and suddenly our defense is a couple of linebackers and safeties from being hugely improved.

Well also keep in mind that the Bengals are letting his camp go get trade offers. Remains to be seen if his camp has interest in us.

He’s a top tier pass rusher, but Hendrickson is a true 4-3 DE. I don’t see him playing OLB in a 3-4

Yeah that could be a big issue if he doesn't see us as up and coming or wants to go to a KC or Philly instead.

I wish we would go back to the 4-3.  Especially when we don’t have good edge talent
