Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson is signing with the San Francisco 49ers on a two-year, $9.5 million deal, including $6 million fully guaranteed, his agents, Jason and Michael Katz, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday. Robinson, 30, spent the past two seasons with the Rams. He had 31 catches for 505 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024, playing in all 17 regular-season games and two playoff games for the Rams.

The Broncos agreed to terms with receiver Trent Sherfield Sr. on a two-year deal worth $6 million, along with some potential performance incentives. Sherfield, who played for the Minnesota Vikings last season, is on his sixth team in his NFL career.

He might be used at times in a rotational role at wide receiver -- both as a blocker in the run game and as a spot pass catcher (he had a 30-catch season with the Dolphins in 2022), but his primary role will be as one of the core players in newly hired Darren Rizzi’s special teams units.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Chiefs have restructured the contracts of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive tackle Chris Jones, freeing up $49.446 million in salary cap space, a source told ESPN's Field Yates on Wednesday.

The moves were needed to open the cap space to fulfill the Chiefs' activity in recent weeks. They placed the franchise tag on guard Trey Smith and re-signed linebacker Nick Bolton and wide receiver Hollywood Brown.

  • It’s Aaron Rodgers Day. The Jets are expected to release him when the league year begins at 4 p.m. They will designate him as one of their two post-June 1 cuts, allowing them to spread the cap hit over two years.
  • With one door closing, will another open? Rodgers could pick his next team today. Will it be the Giants or Steelers? The Giants remain hopeful, I’m told, but my money is on the Steelers.
  • Yesterday was quiet for the Jets. No deals. After doling out about $90M in guarantees on Sunday and Monday, GM Darren Mougey stayed on the sideline — a sign the big spending is over.
  • Mougey is showing patience. Some new GMs, with ample cap room, would let the money burn a hole in their pocket. He’s taking a deliberate approach.
  • Solomon Thomas and Ashtyn Davis departed, bringing the total number of free agent defections to six (not counting Davante Adams, who was cut). -- Rich Cimini, Jets reporter

Steelers add RB depth with ex-Eagle

After letting Najee Harris hit the open market (and land a deal with the Los Angeles Chargers), Pittsburgh has found a running mate for Jaylen Warren, reportedly reaching a one-year deal with former Philadelphia Eagles reserve Kenny Gainwell, who served as Saquon Barkley's No. 2 in 2024.

The Bills made a free agency splash on Tuesday night by landing Joey Bosa, and now, they've added another player to their defensive line. Former Steelers DT Larry Ogunjobi has agreed to terms on a one-year, $8.3 million deal that includes $8 million in guaranteed money, according to NFL Media.

Ogunjobi, who's headed into his ninth NFL season, will join a Bills defensive line that now includes Bosa, Ed Oliver, Daquan Jones and Greg Rousseau.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
