Who will have a better "first" year, Moore or Kolb?

Kolb is going be fine. The Eagles are a better team without DM, IMO. They will be forced to run more to take pressure off the QB.

Then again, I never saw what made McNabb great. I question his leadership skills, his consistency, and his heart in big games. When he came out of the tunnel playing air guitar before the Cowboys crammed it up his butt

I'll wait until the preseason is over and Moore definitely has the starting job locked up. As of now...IDK if if he does.

Moore is not at all in danger of losing the starting job. Although Clausen has played well against the 2nd teams, he's still a rookie and has a long way to go.

I give my vote (unfortunately) to Kolb. His surrounding cast is just far superior, especially in the WR area. I think LeSean McCoy will really step up to remove some pressure from Kolb as well.

By about game 2 of this year, I think we'll know. If we can find a real #2 WR, we'll have a great chance at winning games. It's way too soon to tell, but our first preseason game was miserable from the WR position. Jarrett looked a bit better, but I barely give him the benefit of the doubt after his previous miserable years and lack of drive. Edwards looked junky and LaFell looked squirrely and off. Gettis had basically no role.

The WR's just look beyond medicore at this juncture. We'll see how it goes, but the cast around Moore doesn't look good as of now. Our O-line and RB's/FB are the positives around Moore. That's about it. I also don't understand why we didn't see more of Barnidge in passing situations. I know Fox hates to throw to TE's, but seriously, this guy looks like he has what it takes to be a good/above average receiving TE.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
    • I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
