WRs not named Smitty - through preseason game 2

Should we not be including Goodson in this conversation? His value to the team is in recieving after all.

They haven't really shown any indication of a position switch for him. Pretty sure he stays at RB. Might see him get more opportunities to field kicks though in the next two games.

He's coming out of the backfield with little to no coverage on him. Until they put him in the slot or something and see what he really has as a WR I'd hold off on any hopes or expectations.

It would be nice to see them try to get as much use out of every roster spot as possible.

Goodson could be a recieving option but the biggest need is a starting #2 WR opposite Smitty. Goodson at most could only be used in rare situations imo. While he could be effective I would imagine the odds probably favor a similar offense under Fox we have seen the past 2 seasons. Nobody yet has shown they are legitimately capable of being that guy. Looks like we might have to throw in someone not really ready for that large of a role....or someone just not overall good enough for what it requires in this offense.

I cant see how anyone has done enough on special teams to warrant a roster spot. That being said I have a feeling that the surprise cut this year will be Moore. I don't think Foxy will cut Gettis to keep a guy who appears to be a career mediocre player no matter how much we love him and his work ethic.

So the guy that only played with the 2nd team last night and who's best play was a PI because he is so slow the DB couldn't help but run up his back, is our #2?

Get out of here! Jarrett is as good as gone, he still can't line up right, he gets no seperation, and in general he is depressing to watch play football. His first catch was a 3 yard hitch that took him 10 seconds to run. He is pathetic.

Moore is at least a threat to make a play and Lafell can pass block. Jarrett is a terd.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
