something we should pursue? do we have a second round pick left? he might be worth a first round pick. he's a proven player whereas next years first rounder could be hit or miss.

i would hope we would consider getting involved but i am sure we'll just stick with jarrett.

No, we don't have a 2nd rounder. Next year's 2nd rounder went to take AE this year.

As for us making this move....not even a 1% chance of this happening.

It is not the picks, but the money. We are a run first offense and stout defense team. With the salary cap, I just don't see this team paying premium money for two WR's. The money will be spent elsewhere.

I would LOVE to see us pick up another WR the calibre of Jackson. However, in this offense, a solid #2 is all that is needed. Problem is that we can't seen to even find that.

it would be awesome to pick him up he is only 27 too, on the upside of his career; problem is panthers already have a bunch of WRs they need to test out and I doubt they get him. I wonder how much money he wants maybe they'll settle for a third...

Another wasted thread. How many guys have we signed this year who were malcontents with other teams. How many long term contracts have we given to our own core players other than draft picks?

Yeah I can see us giving a 27 guy a long term contract, especially one who didn't sign his tender and has held out.

No chance in hell we sign him.

    • Here in lies the rub that the supporting posters continue to ignore. He wasn’t a 2nd round pick in the 2025 class, especially with an ACL tear. It was a dumb pick for any GM who looks ahead to determine values. C and CB were much better values than an injured RB in 2024. If a RB isn’t even playing much in 2024, you have to compare him to 2025. We’re beating a dead horse but only because the defense of the pick is almost comical at this point. We’ve made a ton of poo picks and moves/non trades while Morgan was GM and the assistant GM. It happens, we don’t have to jump through hoops to act like we just had some really bad luck. The 2025 draft class is unknown so far but damn it felt way better afterwards for the first time in a long time. Embrace the potential and stop stamping guaranteed on the box of poo of the 2018-2024 drafts. We are were we aware because of them and 2025 has to hit so we can get past the 7 win max in 7 year hurdle.
    • Oh for those tired of the Mannings I have bad news, Peytons son Marshal already has college teams after him and he isn't even in HS until this fall...   I'd wager we have two Mannings in the NFL in 2030
