Kalil's value has been set

5 years 50 million for Mangold. Damn. Jordan Gross' contract is only one and half years old and it was 6 years/60 million. Is the current value of a center only one and half years behind a LT? Obviously not but the market has been set. I fear Ryan will be gone next March.

i don't know much about how the cap works and what nots... but why wouldn't they keep him? i know its a lot of money, but on the other hand great centers dont end up on the pathers every day! who would we be loosing at loosing if we kept him?

no way he will demand a contract like mangold did either.

of course not.Kalil is not the best Center in the league.

but JR not re-signing anyone untill this CBA is in order could backfire with some good players walking. I hope it does not happen but its very possible it does

Kalil is one of the best center's in the league. He will get paid like it.. but I think he gets paid just under what Mangold got. Kalil will be re-signed with us. No doubt. Thomas Davis was a top priority but I don't think he will be anymore after his 2nd knee surgery.

    • His decreased snap count probably has more to do with Coker getting healthy and Dave wanting horn out there for his one jet sweep a game. Dave is constantly rotating all the receivers and i think he values having fresh legs at all times over specific players for situations.
    • Tyler Shough's wins are against us (a very up and down team), Tampa who is crumbling, and the Jets and Titans. He's played well but there's the very real possibility that when the lights are bright he turns into a Matt Moore, Kyle Allen, or Desmond Ridder. I could at least see the logic in thinking NO is on the upswing, but it's not like the Falcons just all of a sudden are a contender because of the QB switch to Cousins. He's still the same guy who is up and down - and there's no telling whether he'll actually be there next year with his age/salary combo.  My post had nothing to do with Bryce, this has been a popular refrain way back to the Fox/Rivera years when we pick up a few late season wins and it was always thought of around here as we only win when it doesn't matter and only there to screw up draft position.
    • yea, I dont have the all 22, I really would be interested because I seem to remember seeing A LOT more of Tremayne in the 2nd half, but like most of us I was just watching the game as a fan.
