Very close:

9- Palmer, Carson QB (Palmer in the 9th? I need a QB? Why yes, I think I will)

1- Peterson, Adrian RB (Had to)

4- Thomas, Pierre RB (One of these...)

5- Boldin, Anquan WR (too much value)

2- Johnson, Calvin WR (Easy money)

3- White, Roddy WR (Took over Fitz. May regret)

6- Daniels, Owen TE (Run on TE's. fuger took Finley right in front of me)

14- Gould, Robbie K (32 teams. 32 kickers)

13- Panthers DST (homer picks are allowed in the 13th)

11- Roethlisberger, Ben QB (He'll be back by the bye week, fellas)

8- Best, Jahvid RB (...three backs...)

7- Spiller, C.J. RB (...will hit.)

10- Breaston, Steve WR (that'll do, pig)

12- Keller, Dustin TE (The year I don't take him, he will blow up)

i've learned that picking a quarter back with one of your first two picks causes you to miss out on a lot of talent at skill positions. if you want a good quarter back in the late rounds i'd suggest kyle orton. kid had damn near 4000 yards last season in his first year in the system. i think he's gonna be better this year.

Yea, but with McDaniel's all over Tebows jock, I wouldn't be surprised if Orton gets pulled at some point this year.

Not sure what to think of my draft last night. I had 9th pick out of 12, standard scoring, with the exception that catches count as half of a point. It is the first year of a keeper league, with the rules being that you can keep 2 players, for a maximum of 2 years, and you lose a draft pick based upon which round you picked them in. And you can't keep any player that you drafted in the first 2 rounds. (really liked that rule)

Round drafted in parenthesis

QB Brett Favre (8)

WR Marques Colston (3)

WR Hakeem Nicks (5)

WR Jeremy Maclin (6)

RB Rashard Mendenhall (1)

RB Shonn Greene (2)

TE Owen Daniels (9)

W/R Jamaal Charles (4)

K

DEF San Francisco (13)

Bench Mike Wallace (7)

Bench Montario Hardesty (10)

Bench Laurence Maroney (11)

Bench Jay Cutler (12)

Bench Donnie Avery (14) - right before he goes down with a knee injury

Bench Tashard Choice (16)

I didn't draft a kicker, I figure I'll waive someone before Week 1, with Avery being the obvious choice at this point. I'm happy with the options I will have for keepers next year (figure Charles is a given, but also there's Nicks, Hardesty, Wallace, Maclin, and Choice which could be a huge bargain). Not real thrilled with the quarterbacks, and probably could have left Greene on the board in round 2 since he likely won't give me any catches.

I had the 6th pick in my draft, thought I was going to get Aaron Rogers but for some reason people picked QB's instead of RB's early. Still I'm pretty happy with what I got. We play with only seven active so the draft is only 12 rounds. we get 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, and K (no defense) and 2 flex, I will most certainly be using Stew and Smitty at my flex all year long....

QB

Joe Flacco (4)

Kyle Orton: Props to Future on that one (10)

RB

MJD (1)

J-Stew (5)

Cadilac Williams (8)

WR

Randy Moss (2)

Steve Smith (3)

Dwayne Bowe(7)

Malcom Floyd (9)

Mike Williams: SEA (11)

TE

Kellen Winslow (6)

K

Robbie Gould (12)

Had to reach for a couple positions because of people grabbing guys way earlier then they should of but I'm still pretty happy with the results.....

Fantastic, now because of Eric "Mangenius" deciding to play Hardesty in a meaningless preseason game, he goes out and tears his ACL which puts him out for the year.

If Huggins is on waivers, you might want to get the handcuff to Cadillac.

    • It was in the updated roster thread. All signings and waver pickups are in there.
    • Great move Panthers.  Hope he is proven to take the #2 spot.  "Keep Pounding"🤩
    • this is where the Bryce defense goes off the rails for me.  We all know Bryce isn't a deep ball chunk play QB.  He doesn't have those physical tools and he doesn't play the game w/ that mindset.  It simply is not what he is.  Then you got folks going essentially going, well actually Shaq was a very efficient 3 pt shooter this season.  He shot 50% from behind the arc and Steph Curry was only at 48%.  So yeah, Shaq is a very effective 3 pt shooter.  Don't say he isn't a 3 point shooter.  Meanwhile, Shaq went 1 of 2 on the season and Steph shot 9343924 3s.  Russell Wilson is a deep ball chunk QB.  Baker is. Geno was his comeback season (best in the league that year I think is the correct call).  That's the Canales pass tree. EVERY QB throws deep at some point.  Arguing you can find a good grade when they went deep one week is just that.   No one can argue Bryce plays the game like a young Wilson throwing f you hail marys downfield.   Jake Delhomme fits Canales more than any Carolina Panther QB.  Teddy Bridgewater can grade out efficiently on his deep passes.  That doesn't make him a deep ball chunk QB.  2 totally different convos.    It would be better for everyone IMO if our org accepted what the unicorn was and built a team around that given they invested so much in him.....which is the criticism I started day 1 when they put him in Frank Reich's offense.  He didn't fit that.  He doesn't fit the Canales tree either.    NFL is about fit more than anything and it's what Carolina gets most wrong.  We essentially run offenses we don't have the QB talent for and you can say the same w/ the 3-4 D.  That's the Bryce era.
