Tom Brady soon to be on the move? If the opportunity presented itself, what if...?

Some quarterbacks are just groomed to play under certain systems. You take them out of one system, put them in another --- and you see a totally different player.

Now, I'm not saying that Tom Brady away from Belichick, you got another failed experiment like Cassel to Kansas City, but if I was a team "considering" Brady, I'd take a step back and think twice about jumping to any conclusions.

If you can't assume that Brady, one of the best quarterbacks to play the game, would be a decent to exceptional player in any system, then who can you say that for?

Brady is smart and can make damn near any throw you ask him to. I can't think of a system in which he wouldn't play well.

And this is coming from a Brady-hater.

If you're saying that there has never been a player who was great in one system and sucked in another, I'd agree that it would be impossible to imagine Brady not succeeding outside of New England.

No, I can certainly admit that. I just don't think of Brady as a system quarterback, that's all. I know I have no evidence of the contrary since he's only played for one team, but I guess you could then say that about any of the greats that only played for one team.

Would Peyton be as good on another team?

I think their success probably has more to do with the players and coaches around them than the system in which they play.
