WR number 6: Charly Martin?

MHS831

Recommended Posts

Possible when you consider the Wright injury. He is 26, 6'1" 212, runs a 4.54--crisp routes, excellent hands, knows the playbook. If they decide to dump Jarrett or Moore...

I realize it is a longshot, but Saturday might surprise us. They are not happy with the WR play, especially from the veterans. So, do you keep them around?

And for those who wait for an outstretched neck like a child who hears the ice cream truck's tune down the block:

Mock away, you..mockers. You fence-sitting, one-line cracking critics of original thought because it is what you lack and fear. You wipers of other peoples' bottoms. You over 24 basement-dwelling renters from your parents, you computer commandos, You nerf snipers...

OK. I'm better now.

I am pretty sure that everyone on here has been excited and waiting for Martin to get his chance since last year.

On a side note: You need to get laid.

That is an understatement. Just having some fun.

Kinderfelt: Sat night is the cut deadline, unless I am wrong. It begins the 24 hour period teams must wait before assigning practice squad players. Personally, I think it should be a week earlier. THat would give the last preseason game more meaning.

On the other hand, I was not aware that everyone was so high on him. I think, based on what little i have seen of him and OTAs, that I would rather have him than Jarrett. That sounds crazy, but I don't ever see us winning with Garrett in the lineup.

If Moore is fizzling out and they are fed up with DJ, Martin might be the third or fourth WR on their depth chart. I think they might find it hard to cut him and keep Socrates and the small WR with no special team skilz.

Could look like this:

Smith

LaFell

Jarrett

Martin

Edwards

Gettis

or

Smith

LaFell

Martin

Moore

Edwards

Gettis

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
