ESPN NFC South Blog: Most liked/disliked Panthers

Mills won by a pretty wide margin. But the interesting thing here is that Delhomme initially was getting a lot of votes in the disliked category. After we reported some of the early results, Carolina fans really stepped up to support Delhomme.

Damn Panther fans...

Wow, that makes our fanbase look retarded. Peppers was a top DE in the NFL for years here. He kept his mouth shut and was never a problem. (Saying he would like to leave during the offseason and make a point not to talk about it during the season ain't a negative).

Dumb. So he is the most hated b/c some days his production was better than others? Not being consistant was his flaw. Best DE to play in Carolina shouldn't be on that list.

People in Charlotte wouldnt have complained and analized his play so much if he had signed a long term deal. For the past 2 seasons he was here, we all knew he wasnt going to stay. We paid him a lot of money for one season in hopes he would sign and he didnt. I dont remember fans grumbling over his play before his contract was up. He could have been on our wall, a true-blue NC player..and he chose other wise. I dont hate him, but is not a Panther anymore so fu*k him.

    • I don't think working from memory is going to be very productive or useful. You would need to compare them all, which is far easier to do from the breakdowns of each game. That has tiered charts that give real data.  But, even then that wouldn't substitute for a trained eye(s) doing detailed film analysis to attempt to determine if we are modifying the offense dramatically for Bryce.
    • I think front office and general team culture under new ownership is sort of on the right track. The rookies all look incredible compared to where you'd expect each one of them to be right now. Lee's in game coaching is awful, he might be ok as a culture and developmental guy but that can't outweigh the in-game miscues and bad game plans. If LaMelo can't figure out the ankles then I think you gotta trade him for a haul, can't keep having your seasons lost every year because he can't stay on the court. And I say that as a big fan of him. Miller I think is unlucky, he looks likely to be an elite core player for us, but if he can't put together a stretch of healthy seasons he would trend towards LaMelo and need to be moved. I used to like Miles on the court a lot more but nowadays he's just an empty stat guy who needs to go. The short lived hot start to the season was fun but unless LaMelo and Miller both get and stay healthy within the next few weeks I can't even see us being a play-in team this year. And even if they do get healthy, we're probably looking at play-in at best, maybe barely compete for that fringe 6th seed.
