Saints fans Give Our Backs some love.

I was perusing on enemy forums and came across this little tid bit.

It's Saint's fans opinions on Pat Yasinkas' report on the "Best Backs in the South."

I remember most people being confused seeing that Turner was number one, with some feeling that Patty Y. did it just to be "fair."

Anyways, I was suprised at all the love D'lo and Stewy got from the Saint's fans, and thought I'd share.

And for those of you who don't find that interesting, here's a picture of an adorable bunny.

Oh, by Panther logic Pierre Thomas is better than D-Will.

you know, your obsession with YPC

Thomas is a good back for the Saints. He benefits from playing for a team that is feared for the pass meaning that he rarely has more than 7 in the box and most times at least 1 of the seven is a safety instead of the usual 4 linemen and 3 linebackers. He is not a strong runner or that elusive. Most times he gets 3 or 4 yards before any contact.

On the opposite end, Williams and Stewart are both hampered by the fact that they routinely face 8 or 9 guys in the box. Plus Davidson has very unimaginative play calling. Honestly if Williams or Stewart played for Payton they would average 6 or 7 yards a carry.

And would have much less yards and much less carries..

The Saint's are a passing offense, and I don't think they feel the need to stack up on great RBs, as you said, Pierre fits them.

My point is-is that D'lo and Stewy are much better off here than they are there.

Running the ball straight at a team may be conventional, but it isn't "unimaginative" by any stretch.

heh. one of them claimed that they have been hearing the media praise our running backs for get this, 5 years now... go figure. didnt we just draft deangelo in 05?? and he was a backup for a few years. then he went on to say that deangelo would be a great back if he didnt have a knee injury every year. and that reggie bush is not a bust.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
