Or XL. Literally not a single one of those guys is similar to each other.

Sure, I was more going with the comparison of an undrafted player last year to a probable Top 10 pick this year

5 receptions for 34 yards is against Hunter it's in the video.  2024 is more important because it's the most recent and both players should have gotten better.  Obviously Hunter learned from the first game.  The whole point is Hunter is an NFL level talent at CB and the only real marchip we have to show how tmac could play in the NFL.  For as big as Tmac is how does Hunter just bully him in that game.  I never said Tmac isn't a first round talent, but his stock is only up because the cream is so thin at WR.

It's easily googled

Clearly it's not, because you're describing a video that literally can't possibly exist.

T-Mac only had 2 catches in that game before Hunter was shut down, so there LITERALLY can't be a video showing video proof of him having 5 catches with Hunter covering him in that game.

So I'm not going to try and find some mystical video that you're claiming is out there

Show me the video..................................

You know what, I'll do you one better...........

Show me this video you claim is out there of T-Mac having 5 catches for 34 yards AGAINST HUNTER in the game this past season and I won't make a single post about T-Mac again leading into the draft, not one post.

Mods can hold me to this too, if he posts the video he is claiming that is out there and I make one more post even remotely related to T-Mac, they can ban me from the site for life.

I care nothing about that. They are literally not similar players at all. Even a little bit.

Yea I know, I guess my point was just that if Coker could even be remotely compared to T-Mac, even in just how they play, then he wouldn't have gone undrafted, at least XL was always going to be a 1st or high 2nd round pick and is a big body (even if that's where the comparisons end, it's still closer than Coker lol)

Again, I care nothing about that. The base of the argument is they aren't even remotely similar players.

I think we're saying the same thing, but it's the semantics you're getting hung up on lol.

If Coker had the size, hands, catch radius, and route tree of T-Mac, then you could say he would be a similar player, but if that was the case, then there would be a 0% chance he'd have gone undrafted.

I just went with the shorthand instead of going into the many reasons they aren't similar players lol

Just my observation but I don't really see the big difference between 4.48 and 4.5. I understand that these are the best athletes in the world and there is a minutia to their evaluations. But the 40 doesn't mimic in game situations, or game speed, player motivations, etc. Now 4.3 to a 4.40 I could see that being substantial.

I was wrong the video was 2023, but Tmac only had 3 rec for 15 yards vs Hunter in that game

McMillan was targeted 15 times in the game, five while he was being defended by Hunter. The Colorado Heisman hopeful held him to just three receptions for 15 yards with one first down, but one of those catches was a two-yard touchdown in which McMillan used his frame to box out Hunter and made an impressive one-handed snag.

No, Hurney would talk Walker from Georgia.

I dunno. Hurney seems to love RBs just as much as LBs. He'd probably have to flip a coin or three to make a decision if both were available.  Or time would run out because he was frozen in indecision.

Good let him drop to us because unless he drops we won’t be getting him. First round is going to an edge and I think most of the first round will go to edge which is good for us on the receiver front. We need the first round to go mostly defense, oline and QB and let the wide receivers drop

Not with 2 1000 yard rushes already on the team. Hurney has his eyes on a LB/Edge rusher. He would probably be trying to convince Tepper to trade up for Carter.

    • I still think it's too soon to say last year's draft was bad. I think those who do are the eternal pessimists. We had 4 players who contributed last season. Two were starters. It's possible all 4 are starters this season. How is that a bad draft? I know it's because our roster was so bad but still, they are on this roster so it's the only one that counts.  Before I say it's a bad draft I prefer to wait and see how they play this season. It's possible we may have FIVE starters from that draft playing the season. Anyone who thinks drafting 5 starters by season two is a bad draft should visit a psychiatrist where they can get a prescription to help them live happier lives.    I'm not saying it was a success yet but I damn sure ain't calling it a failure yet. Most players don't make it. Most of those who do need a little time. One season isn't enough time which is why they are still on the team Leggete, Coker (UDFA but still we got him), Sanders, Smith-Wade and Wallace all showed promise last season. If they all take a step forward then it was a great draft. If only 1 does than it was an average draft. If they regress then and only then will I say it was a bad draft.  Fans often have unreasonable expectations compared to the reality of draft results. I believe this draft will shine as I think it's going to better due to the depth of the class but I also believe we will look back at 2024 and say that was a good class too. I think we have 5 players from that class who will be starters or rotational pieces for the next couple of years at least. That's a win.
    • Playing devils adovcate here, but if you truly wanted to trade down then it made no sense to be a smoke screen for Walker only.  Especially since Tmac is not a generational type player.  Make it known that he is in play and see if the cowboys or whoever really like him as rumored.
    • I mean everybody was, there is a difference between wanting them to draft the guy you like and accepting them drafting someone else based off all the intel and rumors. Up until draft night everybody was convinced it was gonna be walker or maybe another defensive player. If you didn't you was just crossing your fingers.
