I may as well be the 1st 2 say: Moore is NOT the answer

teflon matt moore?

all 3 ints in the endzone, taking points off the board (atleast an attempt at FGs). the forum would explode if it was 17 doing this poo today.

atleast 2 of the picks were absolutely horrible decisions trying to force a ball to a double covered WR. maybe there is a reason a fresh qb can succeed late in the season when the teams have grinded for 12 weeks.......

if preseason means somethin then clausen really wasn't better then moore. You think about it this is the first time he's ever started a season. did he look bad yea throwing 3 interceptions is bull. And if he keeps playing like this through id say the 3rd game then yea put clausen in but I think its not just all on him. I think he's also learning how to deal with the real pressure of the NFL now. We'll see how the next game goes hopefully he'll be better and they'll get some bugs fixed in the offense, and also on defense no reason why the giants should have scored 31 on em. I think they'll win next week because fox is gonna get the bugs fixed fast. and like I said if moore isnt doing any better come game 3 then yea you may wanna atleast bench him to get his mind right

Dude, I have never been fickle, at all. I have always thought that we should let the more naturally gifted, and pedigreed, QB get an opportunity. I have always said that Moore is the QB by default, and that that was a stupid reason to annoint him the starter.

The expectations of Moore are different than the expectations of Clausen, but even a rookie can't make the mistakes that Matt Moore has made today.

You made this thread before halftime. Yes you are fickle. Matt has his first bad game in 11 games of his career then you and everyone else on the Clausen and Moore hating bandwagons come out of the wood work to say "I told you so". Where were you when he out performed Brett Favre, E.Manning, and Tom Brady in 3 consecutive weeks? Where were you when he had 8 TDs and 0 INTs over 4 games last year? Right now he's 8-3 as a starter with his first terrible ball game. The challenge now for him right now is whether or not he bounces back from this. Around Game 4 or 5 is when you see how our team, including Moore, is going to look through out the season. Not before halftime of his first season opening game. But of course our fanbase is too irrational to think this logically.

Not true at all!

If you look strickly at the numbers maybe but if you watched any of the games Clausen played with a center that couldn't get him the ball and had much much MUCH more pocket presence than did Matt even in preseason...I lobbied for Clausen to start preseason game three with the starters for a short while just to see what he could do and people raised hell...I think they now see why! Its no longer preseason any more and Matt Moore looked just like myself, a few others on this forum, and all of the national media thought he would...thus the 6-10 record pics by most this year

This was the first time Moore was the season starter and the first time game planned for...it will only get worse from here!

The Giant's gave this game to us.

They literally, gave it to us.

They gave us chance after chance after chance..

Moore handed it right back to them on a silver platter and an apple in the mouth.

Any hate Matt get's in this thread, in my opinion, is warranted.

I've supported Matt, but what he did today was absurd.

And after that injury he got, well, if it "lingers" for a few weeks, long enough to see what's Clausen has, well I can't say I'd be suprised-and right now, I don't think I'd object.

Well..if anyone likes it or not, Clausen my be starting next week. Moore was puking after the last sack..aka he probably has a concussion of some sort (yes you can get a concussion without blacking out). Not sure if thats the reason, but if so, he might not play next week as a pre-caution to his health. Anyone have an injury update?

SMH you get flamed, neg repped and banned for stating your opinion on whats relevant in todays game. Moore is not a starting QB the pressure was on his back he just didn't respond well at all. Like many have said before he outplayed a hated Jake so everybody jumped on his bandwagon. Moore era should be over I want a QB that puts fear in the opposing teams defense and coaching staff not someone who helps them out.

Moore definitely showed he's not capable of making reads, calling his own plays, showing some form of god damned field awareness, and common sense today. I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, but Moore showed he just doesn't have it.

He friggin looked like Current Jake, but in a younger body.

And this is coming from one of his fanboys. :(

    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
