lol @ you: Part 2

Last year I posted a thread entitled lol @ you, because of all the panic about Fox and Hurney staying, so here comes one about the Peppers Panic.

Ladies and Gentalmen I have here to bring you some news

Peppers is not the entire team!

I know shocking, but he isn't. Half of you who are freaking out over the Peppers thing are also the ones who were saying after week 7 that you hope the Panthers don't resign him and that he wasn't worth the money, the other half of all of you out there are the same ones that I posted the lol @ you the first time around which is almost year to date, which is something I'm finding almost funnier.

Today I've seen topics like: "Was Kris Jenkins right last year?

" and "Fox must go. We win in spite of him. Enough is enough." and what do I do? I lol @ you.

Now will our defense be good next season? who knows FA hasn't even started yet, and we're still months from the draft, but also our defense wasn't very good this season so why all the worries, all these things will work themselves out before the start of next season.

Personally I've been saying all along that if it came between Peppers or Gross, that I'd rather keep Gross everyday because he is just a more consistent player. and they are both All-pro talents and with keeping Gross it means that we will have no immediate weaknesses on the Offense leaving FA and the Draft to be solely used on the Defense for the most part.

And as for those that say Fox has lost the team and Blah Blah Blal.. Chris Harris and Jon Beason both seem to have no problem getting themselves up to play a game and neither does anyone of the offense. they certainly don't seem to have a problem hitting someone in the Face, so don't blame Peppers lack of focus and dedication on Fox blame Peppers, he's been getting paid money that I and many of you can only dream of making that should be his motivation alone, because I know it would be more then enough for me.

Fox has taken this team from 1-15 to a Super Bowl in 2 seasons and if he can do that to the 1-15 team he can fix up a 12-4 teams defense in one off-season too.

anyhoo this is just my $0.02 on everything

What gets me, is that all the talk of firing Fox is based on one game.

Hell, I've always been one of Delhomme's biggest fans, but he blew that game. Fox and Trgo's defense only gave up 6 points in the second half, and 23 of the points they gave up in the game were the results of Delhomme's turnovers.

No, its not based on one game IMO. Its the fact that he is a vanilla coach who can't adapt nor come up with a scheme that makes sense on offense and defense.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
