Interesting how you talk about being a man and growing up and post such middle school comments. I started to post a number of remarks but in retrospect erased them. One thing I have learned which you still have to figure out is that personal attacks cheapen the person delivering them more so then the one for whom they are intended.

so my tin foil hat is starting to fit more folks about SS and what he really brings to the table when things are NOT going his way.

Clausen's first road game, in a loud and hostile place.......even if Smith bailed him out on the first drive, the fact he acted like a blitch despite wearing the C should get him no "thanks" from Clausen. Steve should expect those moments AND do his best to work w/ a kid.

Smith's window is small so I understand his frustration....but he can't justify his actions (which is a common thing year to year).

If Clausen traded places with Brees, Bree's numbers would go down quite a bit and I bet Clausens would go up quite a bit.

Not really. I think he could be having an easier time on a different team. Bottom line is Fox is using the same base plays and offense from prior seasons. Teams simply know what we are doing. Fox is daring teams to stop what they know we are doing.....and they are stopping it.

same stuff we did in 08 was done in 09 and now in 10. What is occuring shouldn't be that big of a surprise. Fox likes to blame execution.....and techincally he is right. But it is a technicality.

Trolling takes all forms and doesn't require a personal attack. Many people troll on here for many different reasons. Zod for example will troll on here to increase board traffic on a slow day. Posters will troll about one subject or another to get reactions. There is a difference between trolls who come here from other boards and talk junk with someone versus me that will make a well conceived idea that just happens to get certain people all riled up. Of the thousands of posts i have written, few have been trolling. And I admit the majority have been about Clausen since people from day 1 have been so polarized. Some of my posts about him have been true, others just point out facts which tend to set folks off, others just are tinged a bit stronger than I may really feel.

Honestly if folks didn't get so riled up and go off the deep end, I wouldn't keep it up some times. Seems people take this message board way too seriously.

And thanks for the advice but honestly I think I might dabble here and there. How about stop taking it so personally and it wouldn't be as much fun.

I have said, in numerous threads, that Clausen needs to improve on this and that. I have also said, and I stand by it, that he is the best QB we have on the roster right now! At this point, Jimmy IS our future, future being the next game. Will he stay that way? I don't know. Has he shown improvement that all you haters like to look past despite the situation he has been put in? Absolutely and a lot of us see the improvements along with the improvement from the entire team. We have gotten behind our starting QB and we are supporting him...simple as that!

Let me make it simple for you:

Jimmy Clausen is already better than Matt Moore

Jimmy Clausen, at this point, is our starting QB

Jimmy Clausen, has and will make ROOKIE mistakes

Jimmy Clausen gives us the best chance to win

Please know what you are talking about before you post!

It's hard for me to grasp why Smitty is such a dick towards Clausen. Jarretts fine. You come in and think you're the poo but don't ever study or work to improve, then you've got it coming. Clausen from all accounts I've ever heard lives and breaths football, and if it he isn't performing at the level Steve Smith wants him to be, it's certainly not through lack of effort.

While I'm not sure about the ball in the dirt, I did see that Jimmy looked like how McNabb used to look when TO was ranting in Philly. A man can only take so much nagging before he snaps.

The best thing for Clausen to do right now is to get into a really good rhythm with the guys he's got now, and see if they can't make our passing game look legit. If LaFell, Gettis, and Edwards have half of the football dedication that Clausen does, I'm pretty confident they can get it done.

Matt played 7 quarters w/ a concussion mixed in. That isn't the body of work to show a regression. More like a bad couple of quarters (see Henne last night).

I guess RIGHT NOW Clasuen is better than Henne as well.
