Godfrey messed up badly yesterday. I forgive him though we still would have lost even if he hadn't.

that play really didn't bother me. I thought the announcers put too much emphasis on it. The QB saw Godfrey come down and you can watch him read it and call an audible. Godfrey imo had one of his better games.....sometimes plays are called that take advantage of what you show an opponent.

Godfrey should have sealed against the cutback instead of approaching the gap he thought the run was going to. He was the last level of defense and his mistake allowed a TD.

Yep Beason definitely messed up as well. Godfrey as the last level of defense had his mistake stand out to me more but you are absolutely right.

Looking at the video of the 68 yard run, Godfrey did get caught a bit out of position, but to my eye Brayton had outside contain and failed to come down the line of scrimmage - watch the way Brayton starts the play and how he jumps to the inside right in front of Godfrey. Godfrey filled properly and got caught up in the wash of Brayton coming inside, which made it that much harder to recover.

Godfrey is definatley a ball-hawk, but it's this same inclination to ball-hawking that gets him caught badly out of position sometimes.

If he can learn to play his position with a little more discipline he could become an elite player, has all the physical tools.

I've been saying this about Godfrey for a couple years now. Godfrey is one of the best pure athletes on the team. Physically, he has all the talent in the world. Mentally he's struggled but the good thing is that we are seeing improvement from him. He's only in his third year and he will improve with each game. We're witnessing the development of a great safety, people. Godfrey has been one of the (few) bright spots this season.

I think Godfrey did very well yesterday. Even though sometime he doesn't play as well & it can be frustrating. But still, he's not a bad player.

It matters to this thread its about Godfrey and we must ackowledge the good with the bad. Hope he continues to improve as far as offense poo if thats how we feel nothing really matters because they cant score PERIOD. Off picks fumbles we get the ball and SERIOUSLY GO BACKWARDS THREE PLAYS THEN PUNT GET THE ROCK BACK AND REPEAT PROCESS FOR FOUR QUARTERS.
