7. DeAngelo Williams, Panthers: Wow, do I wish that we all could see Williams in Green Bay this year. Instead, he is in an absolutely dismal situation on one of the worst offenses in the league. Since Williams should be a free agent after this season, next year I might just get my wish. I bet he wouldn’t complain either.

The only other RB in the NFC South on the list is Michael Turner at #8

I'm not so sure of that. I don't know that Williams wants to move on. He has been getting the majority of carries lately by far. I think they are trying to show him they know he is the man, and I think he respects that.

I also don't think the players themselves are going to be so upset over this season they don't resign. I think they all understand that he's preparing for a lockout and aren't happy, but it's not as if JR is out there with holding calls bringing back plays, false starts, having trouble getting the plays in, etc...

Ehh, we'll see. I bet he comes back, but I am a huge optimist. :P

I think we as fans give too much credit to guys being loyal. Most athletes care about two things, money and winning championships, and one of those could be along ways away here in Carolina so why not go somewhere, GB NE etc, where they are much closer to the ultimate goal.

Granted, D Will seems to be a different kind of dude. He seems to love it here in Carolina and is great with the fans and the community by all accounts and hopefully they can convince him we will be winning in the near future.

      I've been a fan of the team for 20+ years. Never seen so much hand wringing over a rookie defender making a simple mistake while showing potential we've been begging for to the point we've eviscerated guys like Brian Burns countless times for low effort. Especially the year after the team fielded the worst defense in league history. It's comical all around. Spin it however you like. As far as Canales. While I like him and have hope for him and have been vocal about the things he does well. Let's keep it completely 100 here. 31 other coaches last year didn't make it a point to sit their starters out as much as possible and then ended up getting their doors blown off in their first two games. Dave Canales has not yet earned the benefit of the doubt anymore than anyone else with this franchise until they finally post a winning record. And once again everything goes back to so and so allegedly hating Bryce Young. Because apparently no other QB for this franchise has ever been scrutinized before Bryce Young came along. Ridiculous.
