no 3-4 defense please. Anderson/Beason/Davis are all much better in a 4-3.

Norwood would be good in a 3-4 but they are grooming him for DE.

Just not a good idea IMO. It would work eventually but would really set us back to getting to the playoffs.

i havent updated my panthers mock, that was a month ago or something like that...ill do that now.

what about Thomas Davis? Beason needs to be back in the middle, Conner as backup. TD @ WLB, Beason in the middle, & Anderson @ SLB would be legit.

Also, doubt they let Sutton walk, or draft someone to take his place since they turned down draft picks for him this year supposedly.

Overall very nice work, could see them getting some help at safety as wel though. Oh, and Kerry Collins will never be a panther again, bank on that.

no here is what i did...

got a 3rd rd compensatory pick.

traded DWill and a our regular 3rd for a 1st from Green Bay.

then traded the pick that we got for DWill(1st) for a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all this year.(Ravens did the same thing this past year)...

so that left us with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 5th, and a 6th.

EDIT: will update regular mock draft later today. 2nd round will be added

I haven't really been studying the draft.....do you think Jake Locker is going to fall out of the top ten, and Mallet might take his place as a the second qb drafted?

I think because of a bad season, and horrible QB play, people are throwing the offensive line under the bus... When we get some competent QB play it will be different. I think Kalil and Gross will be fine, and Otah will help, sure up the rest of the line then we are fine.

yeah, Pouncey to me is guard. the only reason he moved to center is because florida had no1 to play center besides him who had a bit of experience. he isnt as good as his brother, but he is still really good. Maurkice is going to be a great center.

and Locker like said before in another forum if im not mistaken is an athlete playing QB. he needs to sit a year or so behind a guy like Hasselbeck who i have him mocked to so he can learn alot more. he reminds me of Brady Quinn...ALOT

    • I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
    • Aho and Jarvis just gripping it too tight right now. Relax, play their 200 ft game and the shots will start to find the net. Freddie has been excellent and welcome back Mista Svechnikov. Burns.....well, thank goodness for Slavin.
    • Supposedly he plans on staying in college for all 4 years.
