Who did we beat in 04 to spur the late season push?

Im going to hope for the best and expect the worst. I know we have alot of talent. We just have to keep executing. I think the biggest improvement was the pass protection. Give the QB time to throw and we could be set. The Defense is good enough to win. Run D sucks. folks still think the pass D is overrated, i say meh. I think they are fine.

It would be awesome if we strung a bunch of wins together and finished at worst 9-7, but I'm not counting on it... In all honesty, I believe we may end up with 5-7 wins. I'm hoping for the best but I don't know that I'm buying that we play like we did yesterday consistently.

Who knows though... If Otah comes back, that would give the run game a huge boost, which ironically right now seems to be the worst part of the team after yesterday's game.

All of which were awful teams.

out of our next 6 games....I would only call Baltimore a really good team.

Rams, Bucs, Browns, Seahawks, Saints......I don't think you would have to be a homer to make a case we have a shot in those. Seattle is probably the toughest game (not a great place to play at for an opponent). Gotta judge the Saints on what they show this year, not last.

I agree with this.

if our o-line can get run blocking improved like they have pass blocking we'll be in good shape.

also, if our D-line continues it's improvement I will be happy. Was nice to see them making plays yesterday.

I would say Baltimore is the best overall out of them, but they did barely beat the Bills. Seattle has been up and down with play, but I think we have a chance.

Saints vs Panthers are usually games where the record that year doesn't matter, both teams get up for it. Saints I think we can beat, because even though they could be much better than their record, we play them very tough.

We could win those 6 games, but we'll need a lot of tough and inspiring play... and either Moore to Gettis miracles, or a run game at last. I think we're more likely to go 4-2 in that stretch, dropping one to someone we shouldn't.

I think we could win 3-5 of the next 6. 5 would be a miracle run though......pretty epic and imo top 04. We would be at .500.

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
    • Totally possible imo, I also caught that snippet from Morgan where he said “If” we sign him. The lack of competition says otherwise tho 🤷‍♂️
