This is not a "I told you so thread" at all. Cause I had some doubts.

However, maybe Hurney and JR were not being 100% cheap, and were being honest when they said that they thought that they had talent at the WR position when they were asked about bringing in a veteran.

Maybe we still should have, maybe we would be 2-4, or 3-3. But maybe not.

Its still very early, and it is only 1 good game by Gettis and LaFell, but I believe these guys showed why, during training camp, Hurney thought they could get the job done with competent QB play.

Maybe Hurney CAN draft a WR. Either way, he stuck to his guns, good for him.

I am optimistic, but I know the pessimists will say that JR was being cheap, and it just worked out for them for one week.

I am willing to go through the growing pains with these receivers, as long as I see progress.

If these guys can continue to get better, which is a BIG if. We may have a solid, cheap core for years to come.

This is why you dont judge rookies after 5 weeks, but at the same time this is why you dont say that they are gonna be great after ONE game. But, we do know what they are capable of.

We beat the worst team in the league by a field goal and all of a sudden Fox and Hurney are gods again.

lol

You said it before I could...

SF is garbage. We'll be lucky to be 4-12 this year and after a loss to the Seahawks, those that were hating on Fox/Hurney earlier will start to do it again.

      false rumor, he's a team leader.  No clue what he is worth.....Rico came off the streets for 2.5million and put him to #2 for weeks. I doubt a team would give much more than a late rounder. Like Frank said above, 5th would be tops and very lucky.  He's got a fair contract and is well liked by players, coaches, and FO. No reason to trade.

      Set us back a few years but..a decade? lol what are you smoking man.   only 2000s move that’s come close to actually setting a team that far back wash owns trading for Deshaun, thankful we didn’t win that “sweepstakes” at least    I know hyperbolic commiseration is all the rage here but no team in the NFL is more than a few years away from competing if they go about things right (“right” being the key word here) just in the last few years see: Lions, Patriots, Broncos, Colts (pre DJ injury)
