When We Draft Luck And...

i for one hope we win a couple of games so the bills can draft luck. i'd rather rebuild our OL and DL this draft. ride out clausen a couple of years and go for a QB later. Luck would be no better than moore or clausen behind this OL.

You can't just "hope" Clausen pans out and risk giving up the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning. From what I've seen Clausen is a check down machine. He never looks down field (with a few exceptions). 81 of his passing yards last game was passing it to Mike Goodson. Though I agree the O-Line couldn't hold up for any QB, Clausen's intangibles are very raw and will take years to develop. Besides, OL and DT can be fixed in free agency and later in the draft.

And remember, I use to defend Clausen.

Settle down kids.....When we draft Luck, the maturation process will take time. All jokes aside. Mark it down, you will still have dumba$$es complaining that we didn't draft Jacory Harris or TJ Yates.

Resign DeAngelo. Trade JStew. Get 2nd rounder for him and use on potential trade up (ugh...I know but depending on how high the 2nd rounder would be).

Then use our trade-receive 2nd and our 3rd to move up into the 1st for a stud WR. We'll be getting a comp 3rd for Julius Peppers more than likely. So we should have 2.

Just thoughts. Deep year in big WR prospects. This is assuming that we're going Luck and not AJ Green. Lot of other big WRs out there that can be had early 2nd.

Part of me hopes that we have the 2nd pick so we don't have to obsess about this decision. I feel for our next head coach if he is tasked with making this decision. It could potentially define them as our new coach. If it works out he will be a hero, if it doesn't people will be ready to string him out for "wasting" a pick on another QB.
