Now if you're wondering when Jason Williams put down a basketball and picked up a football, that's understandable.

There are three NBA-related J. Williams of various types - the former Duke player and current TV announcer Jay Williams, whose career was derailed in a motorcycle accident; heavily tattooed Orlando Magic point guard Jason Williams, who is somehow still in the league; and former NBA big man Jayson Williams, who pleaded guilty to assault in the shooting death of a limo driver earlier this year and is now serving a minimum of 18 months in prison.

The Panthers' Jason Williams, though, isn't really into basketball. At only 6-foot-1, that's probably a good thing.

Fowler is without a doubt the worst Panthers writer out there. Why spend three paragraphs talking about people in the NBA just because they share what I'm sure is a very common name?

Yeah, right now Williams is known as being the first player taken in what turned out to be an incredibly disappointing draft for the Cowboys. Hopefully, he will soon be known as the good player that got away making a bad draft for the Cowboys even worse.

Which one? There are a couple Marty Hurneys out there. I located one in Henderson, Nevada and there are a bunch of Hurneys in Michigan and Wisconsin. Of course, none of those are the Panther's own....
