Are you a Panther fan or a Carolina football fan??

Many of us on this site bleed panther blue but I wonder where the alliance is at with you guys.. are you guys fans of the " panthers" like you just like the roster/ ownership. Like if the panthers pulled a baltimore colts style move, just got up and left and moved to ....... oh let's say LA and ownership, roster and philosophy remained the same would you remain a Panther fan or not?

And on the flipside,do you support the panthers just because they are the local team? ? If the panthers left would you embrace the new team like you do this one??

As for me its a little of both. I do like our team because of our roster and would follow our team if they moved with the current roster until most the players retired or went to other teams.. although i would end up supporting my hometown team.

Panthers are my número uno above all else. Being on the west coast my whole life, I'd support no matter where they were. Of course if the team was run every year like this year, for like close to a decade or so, I'd probably disown them. I wouldn't be able to watch the NFL as much as college if it came to that though.

I'm not sure.

I'm not a "Carolina" sports fan Per se although I do largely pull for Carolina teams. For instance, I'm a Panthers, Gamecock fan, and I hope for the Hurricanes win even though I don't really follow them, but I'm also an Orlando Magic fan, and once upon a time was a Marlins "fan" until they got so greedy for a new stadium that they started cutting all their best players to prove a point, effectively ending any interest I could've ever possibly developed in baseball. (although the Magic and Marlins both being in Florida was a coincidence.)

If the Panthers pulled a Seattle Supersonics, and became a new team completely in a different city, I really don't know what I'd do. It would be kind of interesting to have to buy all new apparel and logo "decor" for a new team, but at the same time, the same team, however I can't say for sure I would pull for the new team, since they are after all, a different team.

If they pulled a Baltimore Colts, then I really can't say what I do for that either..

Come to think of it, I might be more inclined to stay with them if they pulled a Supersonics over a Colts, simply because I don't want my Panthers to be another state's team, although I don't know if it's about the geography aspect of it, or if I'm simply being selfish because they're MY team.

NOW, the big question for you guys is, if they pulled a Cleveland Browns, and became a new team, and then later on down the line, the Carolina Panthers returned-alongside the new team (just like the Ravens/Browns) what would you guys do if you had already become fans of the new team?

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
