Hurney has interest in Tino Sunseri?

Found this comment in Pat Y's wrap-up of the Panthers/Cardinals game:

Word on the street is general manager Marty Hurney has planned a side meeting with University of Pittsburgh quarterback Tino Sunseri, the son of former Carolina assistant Sal Sunseri, to see if he can coax him into entering the draft if Luck runs out.

So this suggests Tino-friggin-Sunseri is viewed as a consolation prize for missing out on Luck? LOL

It's probably more just Pat making fun of the Panthers like he's done all year. In his injury report he had Gamble out with broken feelings. He's a jerk who you really can rely on being the guy to kick a team when their down. Being who Tino's dad is and was for the Panther Pat probably just referenced it. Anyways we always owned Tino's team back in the days of middle school football :D

I assumed the comment about Tino "if they run out of Luck" was sarcasm, LOL

I think Yasinkas was trying to be funny/ take a jab at the Panthers, which has been never-ending this year. Failed at both...

His writing has taken a major turn for the worse this year, almost to Observer-level reporting bad. He also feels the need to bash the Panthers at every turn. Even Falcon fans are telling him enough at this point and that it's not funny anymore...

I think Pat caught a lot of heat in 2008 when he first started writing for the NFC South blog and the Panthers were doing good. A lot of people were calling him a Homer since he had come from Charlotte and he has spent the last 2 years trying to bash the Panthers so badly that people will realize he's impartial or something.

A very insecure man...

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
