How much do the Panthers effect your overall mood

There have only been two times the Panthers ruined my day/week.

1) Super Bowl - I couldn't watch anything sports related for weeks

2) Arizona playoff loss - I didn't watch any playoff games the rest of the year, and didn't really even watch the Super Bowl because I was so pissed.

Other than that, I can lead my usual happy-go-lucky life.

I've tried to not let the game get to me, even though we have a brighter season ahead of us(Luck). I got so pissed one week I almost, broke my TV throwing the remote.

I want to put it behind me, but it's kinda tough to do that. Worst way to spend a Sunday, watching the Panthers lose. Makes transitioning into Monday with work, school, etc. hard to deal with.

They affect my mood by making me want to beat someones ass, especially at home games but thats over now:D

yeah....it's just not that important. panthers or any pro sports team, unless you are working for them, just isn't that important.

I used to get really pissed it ruin my whole week. Now that I'm older and wiser I'm just like "eh maybe it's for the best". I see things half full now. Don't get me wrong, if it's a loss like in the Superbowl or like the playoff loss against AZ, I'd be upset for a minute. But like Salt said, I'm excited for the offseason changes

Sure I get bummed when we lose and happy when we win but it doesn't affect the trash I talk to fans of other teams.

The voices in my head tell me that I have bigger fish to fry than to worry about how the Panthers do...

Normally, Im so sick after a loss the only thing that makes it better is an Oregon win or a Panthers win the following sunday. Depending on how they played/who they played, my level of agressiveness differs. As of this year, since we were about 1-5, the games have stopped to matter to me, I would watch the games to look for individual player improvement. Then when we got close to 1-9, 1-10, I started really thinking about next year, so now, my mood is good when we lose, because that assures us the #1 pick, and a new staff. Talk to me after the falcons game.

what's funny is all those people who think that i or others are going to have a melt down of epic proportions if harbaugh and/or luck don't come here. truth is as much a fan as i am of those two coming here...it really doesn't matter much. i'll be over it in a day or two if things don't go how i want. if my dreams don't come true for the panthers, i'll just shrug, complain a little on here beacuse it's fun but once i'm working or away from the computer i won't care. i'll still be a fan of the team and i'll hope for the best and complain about things i don't like and make excuses for all the rest.

Pretty much.

My mood is affected for better or worse for about five hours on gameday. After that, I tend to let it go.

I stopped letting football results - outside of games I played in - bug me back in my teens.

What always makes me shake my head though isn't just the people that let it affect their mood, but the ones who let it affect their outlook.

Hating somebody because they played a bad game for your team or a good game against them? Come on :nonod:

You have folks who look down on someone who does nothing but good with their lives - like say, Warrick Dunn or somene like him - but they're willing to cheer for a piece of human filth like Ben Roethlisberger, and all based on whether or not they win a game. Good lord people, it is just a game!

Setting your moral compass by how talented someone is at sports, singing, acting or whatever else is pretty poor.
