Where do you rank Andy Reid among NFL Head Coaches?

Just curious as to what some of you think, when you hear top coaches, I think Reid has been consistent for the most part. He got it right on McNabb and Vick, his personnel moves have been damn good as well, just look at his team. At times he reminds me of Les Miles with some of his decisions, but as a coach, hes definitely top tier, just needs a ring.

Right now, he falls into the Marty Schottenheimer category (wins a lot of games, can't seal the deal).

Schottenheimer and Dennis Green will remain in that territory permanently. Dungy and Cowher used to be there too but managed to escape.

Reid? Maybe, but not yet.

I don't know if i'd go that far to compare him to Marty

he had an abysmal 5-13 playoff record, and he never reached the superbowl

their winning percentages in the regular season are nearly identical but Reid is 10-8. In my opinion Reid is one of the best coaches to have never won a superbowl

I was thinking about him the other day. As much as it pains me to accept the facts but I'd have to say Bellicheck is hands down the best active coach. You could very well make the argument that Reid is second best right now.

No disrespect to Reid, but I'm not sure you can rightly rank a coach who's never won a Super Bowl ahead of one who has.

    • Names I'd keep an eye on... Coby White,  Jalen Suggs, Amen Thompson  and Stephen Castle...  3 teams except Orlando has checked on Melo before and rumblings of sours getting rid of fox too. I'd think they think Melo and Wemby would make them nuclear out west.
    • Well he somehow had 12 preseason carries for not playing. He also has 20 carries in the regular season, not three. He has actually played in about 7% of the offensive snaps for this regular season(33% of the special teams snaps). This isn't stuff you have to make up, these are very easily referenced statistics, man.
    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
