Its been seen many times, athletic QB's dont transition into the NFL well b/c the speed is so much different. Cannon Arm

Throws well on the run

Good accuracy

strong

winner

tall guy

good quick release

high potential

however, there are plenty of con cam arguments as well:

character concerns

1 year as a starter

spread offense

never plays under center

running QBs get hurt a lot

Can't run like he does in the pros

I honestly think if he does it will be late like The Golden Calf of Bristol, they are just hyping the draft and getting people excited. This time last year everyone thought Clausen was the legit # 1. I just dont see it with Newton, when he gets pressured he A-makes a short pass to a wide open receiver or B- runs for 20 yards, neither will happen often against the better defenses in the NFL, everyone knows how to stop running quarterbacks.

Vick doesn't play smart as a dual threat QB....which is why he will always get banged up.

The definition of a dual threat at QB ain't Vick. It is more of a Steve Young. Some one who can make plays on the ground....not someone who relies on that as part of his game.

That was something about Clausen as well-even though they're totally different quarterbacks, if you watch his highlights, his receivers were always getting super clean releases. Not so much in the NFL.
